  1. In fairness, FG and this site and sometimes MLB or CBS are where I get my info....so I'm likely to agree with FG. To me, it isn't that he might not be good, it's that his ceiling isn't worth number 5, and you MIGHT be able to get him at their second pick the way he's falling. The big part of that write up is that he hasn't gotten better each year, or even close. That's a huge red flag to me.
  2. Ya, I had high hopes, but he's like fifth in league OPS among SS.......to be clear, I'm not giving up at all, still a believer, I just believed he'd be great and in AAA already....and he's not close.
  3. I don't get your first line? It is awfully appeal to authority and basically says that 90% of what this site is for is not right? Outside maybe three people here, I doubt anyone has scouted these guys....
  4. I like all those players...but Julien can't field. Wallner and Larnach, despite their ages, are sitting in AAA not playing. Rooker? One good month isn't changing my mind (and I hated the pick, not a fan of bat only players that high). Lee and Schobel look legit, but they need to be promoted, IMO. I had high hopes Lee would give them their first healthy helium guy but he's been very good, but not great. They've had some awful high picks the last few years......if they go with a guy that might be available at 34 with pick 5, I'll rip them left and right.....
  5. I think it is clear Cohen doesn't care about money......
  6. I don't know......they have one actual position player that can hit and field on the MLB roster after 6 + years that they drafted. And I'm not sure if AK can really hit or not.....and Lewis, but he's never healthy. neither was a college bat. Until one of these guys actually makes it and plays well, I'm skeptical.
  7. And it isn't close. They all have more UPSIDE, which is what you take at pick 5.
  8. exactly what some expected though.... The Cubs have a 2021 pick in AAA? Is that allowed? Twins are so stacked with guys in AAA that should be in the majors that everyone else is just stuck at their level right now.....
  9. Why are the Mets trading veterans for veterans in this scenario? I really don't get the logic of some of the proposals here at all....
  10. That's a random function....they are also above .500 against good teams other than ATL and BAL....
  11. That's because the list assumes they aren't selling. Gray would be the top target on that list, easily.
  12. What's your target and who does he replace?
  13. No idea why you bothered with this one. Zero chance he's available. If he is, three or four Gms should lose their jobs.
  14. Bad depth isn't really depth. And yes, I'm negative on the FO right now for sure. Great pitching, and they refuse to take a chance on better hitting. Wasted opportunity for me. What evidence is there that they believe in them?
  15. They clearly don't believe in Larnach or Wallner. Castro isn't a starter. AK? I guess he could go back out there, but it's not like he's hitting. No, Julien is not an OF. He's barely a 2b right now.
  16. Sure, just like Gallo and Kepler keep playing. No idea what they are doing next year, given they have zero faith in any minor league players, and zero OF signed for next year.
  17. Also, Severino and Lee should be promoted....
  18. I think Julien is better right now..... So it's not that. I think people are underestimating just how good a hitter he already is, in just this little time.
