  1. Given there have been almost none highly ranked, I'm not sure I get your point at the end. SWR and Balazovich are the only ones I can recall any national pundits liking.....it's also been 7 years. It takes 3-4 years for a pitcher to make the majors, so, what, 3-4 drafts so far? How many legit starting pitchers would you expect in 3-4 years of drafts? 1? 2 at most?
  2. Well, the Twins desperately need a LF, and they kept him at 2B even when Polanco returned.....so, maybe?
  3. I really also wonder at some of the thoughts here....do we really think the Twins haven't watched him play in the minors and majors? They've placed Severino at first in AAA for a game or two, I think that tells us something about Julien at first, and Severino anywhere (I am a believer in his bat, no idea on his glove, other than it isn't great).
  4. All fair, which is I put "allegedly" in my second post. We just don't know yet.
  5. You don't have to know someone is under age for it to be illegal.... It being in the DR does complicate things for sure, given the different legal systems.
  6. If he's raking in AAA next year, he's more valuable as a trade piece, IMO....but you might be right this off season. Not sure what his value is at this point......but while I like depth, I like better players even more, and this team needs better RP and more pitching prospects.....but I don't see them dealing him unless he's part of a bigger package.
  7. Right....the other option is he's in AAA, waiting for Lewis, Lee, Julien, Kirilolff and maybe Severino to get hurt....and maybe Polanco, but I think Polanco isn't back next year. Oh, and also Austin Martin (though I think he's an OF at this point).
  8. MLB has.....it just surfaced yesterday....but, fair call. What team will employ a dude that allegedly has sex with girls under 16?
  9. It is possible Franco has played his last MLB game.
  10. hahahaha. thanks for that. That's Martin going forward, though Martin might just be the starting LF or CF .....so, maybe? But, it was a good laugh.
  11. I'd trade Miranda this off season. I see no realistic spot for him going forward......
  12. I think people forget about this when looking at the farm system.....Julien, Wallner, Lewis, AK and Jeffers (and Duran) are no long prospects......Obviously a big IF, but IF those players can actually stay healthy, this team has a decently good future.
  13. I was surprised how young some of these guys are....and anyone giving up on SWR, at that age at AAA? Glad they aren't the GM of this team.....
  14. You thought I was calling for the FO heads before.....that would really be the 2045 last straw for me.
  15. Agreed, but they are wrong. The stats are mind blowingly awful. Truly.
  16. Some truly mind boggling posts in this thread.....trade Julien? Wow. Hiding Kiriloff at 1B? Wow. Just trade Buxton? Wut? On topic.....Julien can't play first right now, and it looks like he's unlikely to ever be good at it. I'd think he does less damage at 2B than at first, way less chances. I'm guessing they really didn't like what they saw in the minors of him in LF, because that's the obvious spot for him on this current roster...... Long term? DH or 2B, I'd guess, though Buxton makes that difficult.....
  17. Interesting. Could be about veteran knowledge and picking up blitzes? That's a 100% guess..... Didn't watch from the land of the vikings. My son was on the field for the game, I'll ask how that was when I'm back in the US
  18. Dobnak is your number five next year.... I'd bring back Maeda and QO Gray. If they can sign the tip arm next year, I would, but I think they're outbid. I have no confidence anyone in the minors other than dobnak and Varland will be ready next year, and they're both number four, five, types.
  19. Or better. Like Wallner and Julien..... And Lewis. And Kiriloff. Some people have no interest in prospects, yet every MLB player was one.
  20. Not to mention Garlick just isn't good. And has no real future here. As you may know, I'm done with this FO. This is just exhibit Z.
