Right....the other option is he's in AAA, waiting for Lewis, Lee, Julien, Kirilolff and maybe Severino to get hurt....and maybe Polanco, but I think Polanco isn't back next year. Oh, and also Austin Martin (though I think he's an OF at this point).
I think people forget about this when looking at the farm system.....Julien, Wallner, Lewis, AK and Jeffers (and Duran) are no long prospects......Obviously a big IF, but IF those players can actually stay healthy, this team has a decently good future.
Some truly mind boggling posts in this thread.....trade Julien? Wow. Hiding Kiriloff at 1B? Wow. Just trade Buxton? Wut?
On topic.....Julien can't play first right now, and it looks like he's unlikely to ever be good at it. I'd think he does less damage at 2B than at first, way less chances. I'm guessing they really didn't like what they saw in the minors of him in LF, because that's the obvious spot for him on this current roster......
Long term? DH or 2B, I'd guess, though Buxton makes that difficult.....
Interesting. Could be about veteran knowledge and picking up blitzes? That's a 100% guess..... Didn't watch from the land of the vikings. My son was on the field for the game, I'll ask how that was when I'm back in the US
Dobnak is your number five next year.... I'd bring back Maeda and QO Gray. If they can sign the tip arm next year, I would, but I think they're outbid.
I have no confidence anyone in the minors other than dobnak and Varland will be ready next year, and they're both number four, five, types.
Meh. It's just depressing. I mean, it's good, but it's not as great as the accolades suggest. There's not more than two characters I'd want to meet in person.
For how major league career, some of which he played hurt, Larnach is only for prevent below average in wrc..... People seem much too down on him relative to actual results.
