    we can be pretty sure Jeffers won't catch Thursday, regardless. So, I just don't get this at all. Somehow, after tonight, Vazquez will have started 4 more games at catcher than Jeffers. I just don't get it. That's 14% more than Jeffers.......

    I mean, I'd consider this for sure, but I'm 100x more confident Julien will hit than Lee will......and I'm a Lee fan. It's so hard to know what he'll do, IMO.

    Too many at bats to below replacement players so far..... And too many home runs given up. On the positive side, gotta be happy about Miranda, Larnach, Kepler, Jeffers. And CC just keeps being very good. The return of Lewis is exciting, but I'll admit to the fact I'm just going to enjoy it while I can..... The team is above average, maybe even good. Given they were forced to cut payroll this much, I'm ambivalent about the FO, as I don't like some decisions, but they are winning...

    You're suggesting not making changes based on six weeks, yet you like sending Julien down after three bad weeks, after last year and the start of this?

    You're getting 2.5 years of a starting pitcher, you can lose a pitching prospect.

    I mean, sure. I'd deal any two pitching prospects and Gonzalez or any lower ranked hitter. You are down one pitcher and one hitter in that deal.....

    League average as a hitter for the year, and above average defense this year.......he's a median 2B right now.

    Playing crappy players in case good ones get hurt is silly. You aren't winning with crappy players anyway. Are we sure this one month of data tells us more about Eddie than the previous 5 months? I'm not. If Margot can only play the corners, and not hit, I'm not interested in him being on the roster. It isn't about being crippled, but having the best 26 guys playing. Not having massive black holes getting lots of at bats......like when Margot, Farmer, and Vazquez are all in the lineup. That's 1/3 of your lineup almost an automatic out at this point. Wallner outhit Margot and Farmer and Vazquez, and doesn't have a job. Julien, even more so. Martin outhit all three of them, out of a job. Margot has put up negative fWAR, as has Vazquez, and Farmer has put up zero. That's three replacement (or worse) players....Farmer has over 100 ABs, and now Julien isn't on the roster....

    Why are we only looing at batting average? Julien has been a league average hitter and slightly above average fielding 2B this year.....when taking into account slugging and walks, etc....Margot has not. And they won't even play him in CF....

    He's close to the worst hitter in the game. How much defense can fix that? Really. 406 batters have 50 or more at bats. He's the 400th "best" hitter......5 wrc+. That's not a typo......

    No early HS pitchers, please ... One reason they don't have pitchers taken early high in their rankings is they don't take pitchers early..... Can't have them ranked if you almost never take them.

    First rule here is to say Vazquez is the greatest defender ever and his hitting is irrelevant....
