  1. 8 days after his teammate is killed. Trade the loser.
  2. This is supposedly a terrible draft. Most teams, from what I read, aren't excited about anyone after the first round. If they get something out of this draft, we should be impressed.
  3. Brecht would have been pick. If you never take pitcher early.... I do like SS that have good contact skills. Good luck to him!
  4. I'd have taken one of the top catchers in round one. This system has none, imo.
  5. They're all pretty evenly ranked at this point. In terms of tier....
  6. I'd have taken brecht there..... If you never take a pitcher early, it's harder to get elite talent....
  7. High school pitchers rarely work. Like, very rarely. Not surprised with this pick. Good luck to him!
  8. Keith Laws email today sure makes this draft sound shallow. Can't wait to see who the surprise great players are in five years. That's always interesting to me. Good luck everyone hoping to get drafted today!
  9. I'm with you on this.....he knows more than I will ever know.....and I think he gets waaaaaaaaaay too much blame around here, but I don't agree with this decision.
  10. then don't deal for one.....that's all I think is worth getting....
  11. If Jeffers is actually nicked, then Carmago is 100% your catcher later in the game, Also, supposedly Vazquez is the greatest defensive catcher ever, this makes no sense to me. Why not just play Vazquez at catcher, and if Jeffers can't play, you can PH for your DH, and not have to put in Carmago? I get your point, we don't agree. No biggie to me.
  12. Miranda is not w/o a position, he was more than adequate at 3B.. Julien was good at 2B this year (not at hitting). Martin? I mean, what do you want, he's a 2b and LF. Larnach? Are you expecting every LF to be great at fielding? None of those guys are w/o a position at all. We're clearly going to disagree here, I'm ok with that. they literally just traded for Doncon, and we know he has no position? Keaschell is in year 1 of his career, and we know he has no position? I'll give you Sabato.....
  13. I agree, but downvoted your post because I don't think they are necessarily giving away a game, and I don't want a "6th" starter, I'm only dealing for a guy I think is a number 2 or better....
  14. With Vazquez at DH today, I cannot answer your question. It makes no sense to me....I figured Jeffers was nicked and would get the next three days off, but nope.
  15. Jeffers catching and Vazquez as DH? That literally makes zero sense, if Vazquez is the better defender. Zero. Nada. Nil. Zippo.
  16. No prospect is a finished product, and they will 100% learn on the job at the MLB level. It's kind of a weird thing to say that the offense picked up when the offense picked up....that seems like a tautology to me.
  17. Guys can find a position if they can hit.....not so much the other way. Like who, btw? Julien was decent/good at 2B this year. Larnach if slightly below average in LF, but not awful. Wallner is under rated by fans, Who among high picks do they have that has no position (other than Sabato, ugh)?
  18. I'm ok with Jeffers getting more time off is he's dinged up at all......We all know after a day off that Vazquez catches anyway, so he'll catch 2/3 games...one game for Carmago is fine.
