  1. Time to promote Jenkins already. he's not learning anything in low A ball at this point.
  2. My feedback on these reports is that they are the best part of the site. You can tell all the writers are really into it. Just love this part.
  3. Wow, QBs are expensive!
  4. That's what they said about Jax.... If I was him, I'd want money before my arm fell off.... But I see your point, and could be wrong.
  5. He's not going to get poop in arbitration since he's never healthy. Cost isn't an issue at all, just health.
  6. It's going to be almost impossible to sign someone to any kind of big dollar or even mid dollar deal, either as a FA or their own guys given that, and their budget. It's why I think they won't deal for a controllable SP this year, they have Festa, Morris, and Matthews on the brink. Plus Paddock. And Varland.
  7. Holy hell, Shaq Griffin may have been injured today. DO NOT let your kids play CB for this team....
  8. that and they have an insufficient number of pitchers and he was successful at one point. What do they have to lose, they already stink.
  9. Got it. I didn't read your reply that way. I'd likely do this exact trade, assuming the top guy is a hitter worse than Keaschell.... But it sure read like you'd deal Keaschell, and I'm not doing that.
  10. Miranda, Julien, Kiriloff, Severino, almost any hitter..... Moving Wallner there makes zero sense, as his arm stops people from running.
  11. Nah, Keaschell is higher rated, more like the next tier of twins minor leaguers....
  12. We'll just disagree, but I love your consistency. No team can trade all their top prospects and succeed.
  13. Nah. Chief places little value on prospects.....
  14. I don't know what Colorado has to lose in trying Dobnak. Always seems like they should get him for a ptbnl....
  15. They just won 2 of 3 from teh best team in the majors, w/o their 3 best hitters....they are no threat? I assume that only Bal and NYY are then in the AL?
  16. No, but some of those other teams will add actual payroll this year.....
  17. I'm not nearly that high on Raya, given he isn't allowed to pitch much. I'm just leery of him at this point. Soto? Tough call....HS pitchers have the highest bust rate of any players, but I think your spot is about right for him. I too would move Preillip (sp?) to the bullpen, and get him in MN next year. I don't trust him not to get hurt again, and I'd rather he make some MLB money than have them keep trying to get him healthy as a starter.
  18. I think that the jump from AAA to the majors is bigger than ever (from what Law and Fangraphs and MLBTR say), so I think they'll give Lee more time (plus, he's likely the best SS until CC comes back). I think Julien goes back down as Craig says just above this post. Martin goes down when CC comes back, unless Lee keeps not hitting (as everyone now thinks Lee is a legit MLB player, and Martin is a utility guy). Festa is clearly starter 5 unless he blows up, in which case I'm not shocked by any of Matthews, Varland, Boushley getting a spot start. No idea on the bullpen, but I'd sure like one lefty I trusted....
  19. Tartrazine: Was Luke Keaschall close to making the top-60? Keith Law: No.
  20. ok. I'm sure having CC the last 5 games would not have helped at all....not one bit.
  21. By this logic teams should trade all the guys they have if they don't win it all*.....adding these guys is 100x better than anything they can add at the deadline, given their restraints. *slight exaggeration of your point.
