    For anybody curious, the Twins play against Chris Davis and Baltimore coming up on April 19-21 and again on April 26-28. It was April 26-28, in 1988, when the Twins swept Baltimore in three games and pushed the Orioles to a record winless 0-21 to start that season.

    I thought so too, but then heard Baldelli on the radio state emphatically that No, there are no intentional pairings happening. Could have fooled me. Astudillo has caught Pineda both times, too. I’d actually like to see Astudillo catch Berrios more, considering Castro is a free agent after 2019 and Astudillo is still a rookie.

    By that reasoning of the B lineup, maybe Cruz should have been in the outfield, then? Not sure how you come down on that issue of Cruz not playing in NL parks.

    My guess is the reporting was flawed, not the FO’s knowledge of the rules. We see this not just in baseball.

    Still very early I get that, but Cron is looking good. That mitigates the loss of Austin (which seemed inevitable at some point).

    Great game. Great call (by Shelton! apparently) to have Rosario already double switched into the pitcher spot. Except for those 8th inning fluke dribblers just out of the grasp of Rogers and Astudillo, except for those, I thought the Twins really executed defensively.

    It would be a short sample of games. It’s fair to disagree on this. Though I am surprised the team is deciding it this way, considering how well Cruz is hitting.
