  1. Those are all top 5 picks. That means we've been losing and I've had enough losing for a while Though you do frame it in an interesting way. Like Urkel said, play the young guys and see what happens
  2. concur, but if he believes he is? Also, he's got the keys, go for a spin buddy
  3. I really doubt Antony does anything ridiculous like trade a prospect, on the other hand, we're entering Day 5 and he hasn't really done anything noticeable yet. I would think he does something very soon like call up Berrios, if he wants to signal to ownership that he has different thoughts than Ryan about how to help the team. Thoughts?
  4. NOW we're talking!! http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/media/images/83426000/jpg/_83426560_a860a84f-4cf8-4cc0-b123-3d33c4422022.jpg
  5. Well, I'd like some money, if that's what you're asking?
  6. Can someone give me the tl;dr version of the first 180+ posts pls?
  7. But, who will be the individual who selects the person to assemble the committee that will be vetting the search firms? * channeling crarko
  8. Like Barreiro said, the Twins shouldn't be looking for a GM. They should be looking for a vision. Nothing coming out of spring training the past several seasons has screamed vision, but maybe we are finally starting to see it now this past month. It kinda sorta looks like a team right now.
  9. because unlike 90% of you, I guess I'm not ready for this yet.
  10. Agree with all of the above. I was about to say that the relief pitchers should be promoted, because even if guys like Chargois don't work out right away, one of Ryan's strengths is finding good free-agent bullpen arms.
  11. That's how I read it too, and I bet Pohlad is already regretting he did this.
  12. I hope Antony's staying at a Holiday Inn last night!
  13. Wait... if we have a new GM, shouldn't Berrios have been called back up by now?
  14. I was thinking first inning challenges to gush about, but same diff.
  15. The walk rates in AAA surprises me also. Another idea would be that some career minor league batters have such trouble at the plate that they might not want to swing at all sometimes. Or umpiring. Or maybe there is a Pacific Coast league bias with hitter-friendly ball parks where pitchers might be reluctant to throw strikes. All just guesses. It is interesting.
  16. Go to Fangraphs. Even with last night's game in the books, Sano is outperforming Plouffe at third by a wide margin-- or a better way to say it would be that Plouffe is really underperforming this year. But we've seen enough of Plouffe to know that even before his injury he is getting worse at making plays to his right, and that's Sano's best play. A show of confidence in Sano full time as third baseman for the next couple seasons will be the best thing the Twins can do. The worst thing the Twins can do is try to juggle this for another season. Just my opinion, of course.
  17. Twins doing in the 8th what they almost did in the 3rd - thanks yall
  18. It's always good to have that insurance player on your roster
  19. If you are talking about the Twins Daily company, I will retire the joke
  20. Did Dick say if Ryan was going to answer his phone and listen, or would he just listen to the offers when it rolled to voicemail?
