  1. Rumors are starting about the Red Sox selling Alex Bregman. That's exactly what the Twins need.
  2. Kody Clemens has a shot at MLB player of the month of May.
  3. Jonah Bride is on the roster doing mostly nothing. There's room for another bat.
  4. The A's outfield defense is not good. Makes me appreciate having Buxton and Bader on the Twins.
  5. Probably available (depending on how the team fares in June) Orioles: Ryan O'Hearn, Ryan Mountcastle, Cedric Mullins, Ramon Laureano Pirates: Joey Bart Marlins: Jesus Sanchez Angels: Yoan Moncada, Jorge Soler Athletics: Luis Urias, Miguel Andujar Rockies: Ryan McMahon, Hunter Goodman Arizona: Josh Naylor, Lourdes Gurriel, Eugenio Suarez, Randall Grichuk Reds: Jose Trevino, Austin Hays White Sox: Andrew Benintendi, Luis Robert Red Sox: Rafael Devers, Rob Refsnyder Rangers: Adolis Garcia
  6. Ask the pitching coach. If they think he can tweak a pitch or add another one, then keep him. If they don't have any confidence, then cut him loose. The line between effective and bad is very small for MLB relievers.
  7. It is difficult to see how Paddack gets traded in a deadline deal. There aren't many teams looking for pitching who would want to sell offense or a young catcher to get it. The best fit I see is the Cubs and the Twins would certainly ask for Moises Ballesteros in return.
  8. I think he should make an All-Star team this season.
  9. I'm just asking for an article on the #2 and #3 topics instead of daily articles on the #1 topic. There are plenty of things to discuss, no need to fixate.
  10. I don't blame the Twins for preferring to give playing time to Royce Lewis over Mickey Gasper. Playing time is valuable and I'd rather spend it on developing Lewis. It's likely Gasper would rot on the bench because he doesn't play 3B and Bride would get the playing time.
  11. Lewis reminds me a little of the struggles of Spencer Torkelson in 2024. BTW - are we going to get an article every day about sending Royce Lewis to the minors? If so, can you change the name of the website to "Send Royce Lewis to the Minors Daily"?
  12. Mountcastle is having a down season, is currently injured and looks like a non-tender candidate this offseason. He could be bought low. Ryan O'Hearn is a pending free agent and is playing well right now, I'd rather have O'Hearn at the moment. I'd also love to swipe Hunter Goodman off the Rockies roster. The team could clearly use another bat. They're getting very little offense out of 1B and 3B. Kody Clemens is not going to hit like Shohei Ohtani for the whole season. It would be ideal to find a team interested in giving Miranda or Julien another chance.
  13. Looks like some Senators are attempting to extort bribes from billionaire sports team owners.
  14. The Twins believe there is data that sitting and getting back into the game leads to injury for relievers.
  15. The zone was one ball lower than the zone on the screen. Balls at the top of the zone and strikes at the bottom.
  16. You can see in the photo that the path for a feet-first slide was gone (Garver blocked that path with his knee after he received the throw). His only chance was to go around the tag and slap the plate, like he tried to execute. FWIW - the slap missed the plate.
  17. I think I've heard that said about every 3B coach the Twins have ever had. BTW - who do you think is the best 3B coach in baseball? No fair looking up people's names after the question is asked.
  18. It's great that this game had so much action that the fire alarm delay doesn't even make the recap.
  19. Read the mlb.com recap https://www.mlb.com/twins/news/twins-carlos-correa-rocco-baldelli-ejected-against-mariners
  20. It is interesting that Topa was overlooked as an option to get more innings in the article. He's been overlooked by Rocco, too. He has a 2.37 ERA and good peripherals to go with it but he sits on the bench for multiple games in a row. Alcala pitched with the lead and Topa went into the game when they were behind but I don't understand why the roles weren't reversed.
  21. I also dispute that the workload is too stressful for these pitchers. They're getting adequate rest between outings, never being asked to go more than one inning, taking advantage of off days. If a pitcher can't handle 2-3 innings a week, then he's probably not suited for a major league bullpen.
  22. It wasn't just the bad start that had people so disillusioned. It was the bad start combined with the total collapse at the end of 2024. The Twins were one of the worst teams in baseball for 3 solid months. Nobody expected them to produce the 2nd longest win streak in franchise history. Since the streak ended, they're winning half their games. That's probably the best measure of this team right now.
