    Rosario has seen his OPS go up 90 points since his promotion to AAA. Hitting is too easy at that level.

    The Twins should not be trading for another outfielder. The low hanging fruit for improving the roster is run prevention, not run scoring.

    Fedko got the first shot and struck out in half his at-bats. He will get another opportunity. Wallner is a DH. Defense matters.

    I think I would slot Wachsmann just below Soto on the list. I think he has the 2nd highest ceiling of the 2026 draft picks. Prospect rankings are all about ceiling, you can grab high floor players off the waiver wire.

    Rojas is getting people out in the majors. I would have him ahead of Quick on this list. There is only one year difference in age and a huge difference in results. If Rojas gets his walk rate down he could contribute in the rotation.

    Check his statcast page. His strikeout rate is down, walk rate is up, hard hit and barrel rates are up, exit velocity is up. He has made clear improvements at the plate.

    They would probably get a backup catcher back in one of the trades (ex. Connor Wong). It would free up about $10M in cash to make Jeffers a big offer as a free agent.

    His Baseball Savant page is bright red. He is controlling the strike zone and hitting the ball hard (exit velocity up 3 MPH from last season).

    Since there are more teams who need catchers than there are catchers available, would you deal Jeffers to the Yankees and Caratini to the Red Sox or Rays?

    If the Twins would offer $23M and Jeffers would take it, then they should definitely trade Jeffers now and sign him as a free agent for 1 year, $23M in the offseason.

    The winner of the bidding war for Jeffers could keep him away from division rivals. Stephenson of the Reds is the only other catcher on the market.

    1/$23M is probably worth more than 5/$75M. He would only need another contract at 4/$45 to break even, considering how front loaded it is.

    That is equivalent to the #45 slot value. Should be in the top 20 of bonuses for pitchers in this draft.

    The qualifying offer is irrelevant. The Twins will be the highest bidder if they offer Jeffers $23M. That’s an overpay by about $8M.

    I imagine Coulombe will attempt to find a team where he can get a playoff share. He might even take a minor league deal with a contender hoping for an injury that gets him on the postseason roster.

    So if Zoll is smarter, relief pitchers will magically appear? They only have so much talent on the 26-man roster. Making trades to acquire relief pitching in July is historically a HUGE overpay. I don’t see any reason to make that investment for this below-500 team. They are not one or two relievers away from a pennant.
