  1. Eric Davis kept playing to age 39. He's a good comp for Buxton both in talent and durability. Reggie Sanders shows up as a comp for both Buxton and Davis; he also played until age 39.
  2. Can I get a few more down votes in the lineup thread about the decision to start Bader over Dashawn Keirsey? Clearly a stupid idea to start the veteran, former Cardinal on Opening Day instead of the 28-year old rookie with less than 20 at-bats in his career.
  3. I have little confidence in Julien's bat vs Sonny Gray
  4. If Lewis is healthy, he's playing 3B and batting 5th. That's the only change I see happening.
  5. I would rather have Bader in the starting lineup in LF than Keirsey. I don't care who is on the mound.
  6. That's a downgrade on offense and defense
  7. Thinking through late inning bench moves, they could use Julien to pinch hit for Miranda, Gasper pinch hits for Bader, Keirsey for Gasper, move Castro to 3B.
  8. We will definitely see that lineup in future games. I don't blame them for putting the best defense out there when Sonny Gray is pitching against them.
  9. If they use Julien to pinch-hit for Bader then St. Louis can bring in a lefty to face both Julien and Wallner.
  10. 20% is league average now. It was 13-15% during Killebrew's career.
  11. Channel 468 on Spectrum. The Twins' TV Cable Channels Are Here - Twins Daily Front Page News - Twins Daily
  12. Actually, the schedule shows them televised on both this week. The Apple TV games are exclusive. I believe games on FOX would also be exclusive but those are broadcast over the air anyway.
  13. 14. Nationally televised games won't be on Twins.TV
  15. If he's healthy, you trade him before he gets hurt again. I don't trust him to go over 120 innings. I think they need to trade him well before the deadline.
  16. Chris Paddack leading the American League in Wins is the hottest take I've seen this spring.
  17. Travis Adams was added to the roster for this role. If they don't trust Adams with a few innings of mop-up duty, then they made a mistake adding him to the roster. They don't need an opening on the 40-man roster to bring back Tonkin or Stewart. There are dozens of minor league free agents with an opt-out and about a dozen pitchers on waivers. There has to be someone on that list more interesting than Dobnak.
  18. I would rather spend the innings on someone who could provide value to the team in the short or long term.
  19. On the plus side, this keeps Randy from taking starts away from the prospects in AAA. I thought they should send him to Double-A but instead he gets a spot in the big leagues.
  20. He is currently on the 40-man roster and optioned to the minors. He will go on the minor league IL.
