  1. As tempting as this is (http://a.espncdn.com/i/insider/preview/scoreboard_arrow.gif To see why teams should do the opposite of what the Twins are doing, become an Insider today.) care to sum it up for us?
  2. The problem is that once Herrmann (Gardy's nookie blanket) is up, it might be hard to send him back down again unless he ends up hitting .098 like before. My biggest fear is that he ends up at a Mendoza line plateau, and is on the roster all year.
  3. Watch, one of them gets hurt tonight and Gardy's worst nightmare comes true and he never steps out on his lost DH limb again...
  4. I'm not saying Ortiz uses PEDs and even if he did, I wouldn't care very much. But one of the things PEDs are good at, apparently, is helping players recover faster.
  5. Gardy loves him some veterans and scrappy utility guys, and I have to think he "approved this roster." I guess we'll never know.
  6. Ahh, Matt Garza. Would that he were on the Twins.
  7. "Trying to be polite here....but have you watched the last 3 games?" Yeah, it's like they're not even trying to win this week.
  8. "Bernardino opined the Twins may 60 day Willingham to make room for Guerrier. As if the a Twins needed more relief pitching, and didn't need a bench. The Twins wouldn't actually do it, would they? If they felt the need to hold on to him, they'd DFA Burton, right? Please..." Yeah if they add Guerrier, I'm gonna be sad again.
  9. Nah, they should move Dozier down. You shouldn't have the team leader in HRs hitting first. That's a no brainer.
  10. Hey great interview. I really hope May can turn out, and it seems he can strike out hitters. I can't wait until the Twins give him a chance...
  11. I am so much more optimistic this year than last. If Nolasco can start striking people out, we might be average.
  12. Is there any hope left for Levi Michael? Will the Twins finally move him up to New Britain?
  13. Has any major leaguer ever been blind in one eye?
  14. "It was, without question, one of the most blatantly and inexcusably horrendous personnel decisions this organization has ever made, but there's no use dwelling on it." Gah. Take away all my fun. I suppose you want me to take down the Bill Smith dartboard too?
  15. Yeah, I remember that was part of the argument for signing Willingham, that he was a RH pull hitter. Maybe that's another reason to stick with mostly RH starting pitchers, too?
  16. One reason is that MJ one of the few drugs that it's really easy to test for. Do Rockies' prospects and players get a pass on testing now?
  17. Decent strikeout numbers. Does anyone know how he's generating those K's?
  18. Anything is possible.
  19. If some of the Twins' patient approach to at-bats would rub off on Arcia, that'd be awesome.
  20. What? Really? Someone else out there would have given either of these guys more money than the Twins did?
  21. Imagine if we'd signed Garza and Kazmir instead of Nolasco and Hughes...
  22. Again today, vs. the Rays, Gibson threw a couple excellent 2-strike pitches that were right on the corner and the ump didn't give them to him. I feel like a loser (i.e. White Sox fan) for saying this, but for some reason Gibson doesn't seem to get the close pitches called his way!
  23. I'd settle for Pelfrey just not pitching in games.
