  1. Just wait until he steals a base when the Twins are down by 4...
  2. I don't think we have to hope for it, or cheer for it...at this point it's a pretty high statistical probability isn't it?
  3. Wow....that went downhill quickly. I'm not a fan of molitor managing but it really doesn't seem to matter what string he pulls it always snaps.
  4. And then we let Arcia pinch-hit against a LHP for which he has ....what 150 lower OPS against then right handers?? I mean cmon...are we even trying to win at this point?
  5. Why am I not surprised that Pat Dean was left in to give up the go ahead run after such a gutty effort tonight? Now after all that he is on the hook for the loss
  6. I was about to be upset by molitor bringing in May and setting up Jepsen for the 9th but now that May blew it in the 8th I'm ok
  7. What happened to JR Graham? Did he get released or did he clear waivers and get assigned to AAA?
  8. Love your work! I read everything you post!
  9. Wonder if this gets Palka promoted to AAA?
  10. Why platoon Kepler and Aria? Don't they both bat left-handed?
  11. There have been a lot of strikeouts that is true. We all knew that was going to happen with this team this year. I have been impressed however, by the long atbats some of the guys have been taking. Yes, there have been some 3 pitch strikeouts but But it seems to me a lot of guys have been seeing a lot of pitches. When you work the count deep and you have a power hitting lineup there will be a lot of strikeouts.I am not worriedb about the strikeouts, the deep counts and patience of the hitters will pay off.
  12. Did any one else see those bombs hit by Palma??? Holy camoli they were tattooed!
  13. When I saw Graham warming in the bullpen I turned off the game. I knew he was up for Arod and didn't care to watch him go yard. I doubt any body in the park really thought a extremely homer prone pitcherfacing a prolific homer prone hitter with the game on the line was going to end any different then it did
  14. Isn't there a limit on how many players can be sent to the AFL?
  15. No it wouldnt. Kimbrel would be an 8th inning guy. The Twins would then effectively have a 7 inning game. That would take pressure off both the rotation and bullpen
  16. I would like to get Kimbrel from San Diego and bring back AJ for cash considerations. I would seriously kick the tires on Lucroy but not at the expense of 2016 or 2017.
  17. I think we have many more chances to give Vargas before we give up on him. See Hicks, Perkins, and dozier
  18. Offer Stewart and Arcia and add one of the flame throwing relievers from minors. Trade from surplus to get what you need
  19. I think Dozier third and Mauer second makes a lot of sense with Buxton leading off. Hit and run becomes a real weaponto stay out of the double play and Mauers walks and single potentially turn into runs with Doziers xb power
  20. I think the first two things the twins will be looking for in any trade the twins make now and in the end of the year is going to be catcher, international slot bonus and comp picks. Comp picks aren't decided until after the season but I think the Twins would be willing to trade for one.
  21. I would find a catcher first of all. Hermann Pinto and Fryer do not really do it for me. I think this off season the Twins get a catcher or try to sign Weiters out right. I wouldn't trade for Loucrey bc I don't want to deplete the best farm system. Find a way to get Oliverios an extended look at the bullpen. Maybe give Fryer a shot over Hermann as his defense is better but I don't see the point. I would let it ride with Duensing a little longer. Right now it's really to early to have knee jerk reactions. I would promote Buxton and Sano to AAA now and see where the team is at in July at the trade deadline
  22. My first Twins game was in 1988. It was against Seattle. I still have the ticket stub in a scrap book which I could look up for the exact date...wait a minute. I will do that. Found it!! June 17 1988. I remember being crushed because instead of watching Kirby Puckett I got to watch John Moses and Tommy Herr. I don't remember who started for the Twins (pitching) but I remember Tim Laudner ( I think in the 7th Inning) hitting a drive to dead center with the bases loaded that hit off the base of wall directly under the 408 sign. Twins won 4-1. After the game we went to a hotel and watched a John Wayne movie. Dont remember the name of the movie but it was important that it was a John Wayne movie to the people i was with. Good Times.
