    It could get complicated. It may take a 3 team trade. I think Dozier if traded is worth more then 1 player in return. Right now his value is so high I think the Twins need to wait because I doubt they could get what he is worth back.

    Things that people say that make my head explode when talking about Joe Mauer: He makes too much money, he isnt worth it, he should give it back to the Twins- bc billionaire baseball owners never have enough. Let's move Joe Mauer to catcher. Let's trade Joe Mauer to Boston or NY because that no trade clause is really a suggestion anyway. Please note I made up my own reasons for why people say things about Joe Mauer.

    I would rather Non-tender Plouffe and keep Dozier. I think you can only do one or the other, not both. If you do both, you no longer have depth. If Plouffe and Dozier are both gone, that leaves Polanco at 2nd, EE at short and Sano at 3rd. And that is fine but who plays when those guys need a day off or there is a long injury? Danny Santana? I also think if Dozier is traded we get back a pitcher who is one or two on the depth chart plus a catcher who is can't miss plus a good prospect in the lower levels, otherwise keep him

    I think Buxton is far from having a guaranteed spot out of spring training. I think Grossman stays until Buxton gets recalled next year whenever the Twins decide he is ready. I think Dsantana sticks one more year until the Buxton/Palka/Walker/Grossman situation has more clarity.

    If I am GM I non-tender Plouffe at the end of the year. There is no market for him and going thru arbitration will give him a raise over the 7.7 mil he is making this year. I dangle Vargas and Park in trades and if neither moves i start with Vargas in bigs and Park in AAA. Also..this is a long shot but i lobby in the new agreement to have rosters expanded to 26..which eases the crunch.

    I would be shocked if they brought him back up this year. I don't see it happening no matter what he does down there. I also would be shocked if they handed him the job in CF out of spring training. I have high hopes for this kid but I don't think anybody wants to see him continue to struggle at the ML

    @ Seth, In the opening paragraph it says Palka has an 877OPS for AAA but in the story it says *only* 828 OPS. Did I miss something? Also, picking nits, everybody know what you meant but it does say the Minor league starting PITCHER of the month. Love your stories and look forward to each new month

    The Twins could still be active b4 the trade deadline. Most of the players the twins may trade are not the best options on the table. Other teams have better options that need to come off the table either by trade or asking price before the Twins pieces become options for teams.

    Duffy and Berrios have to be trading places at this point right? It makes sense, they are on the same rotation.

    Trading Dozier and nontendering Plouffe opens up 2 holes. Keeping Nunez, playing Polanco, keeping Escobar and Santana and playing Sano still leaves good options for the middle INF positions. The defense will suffer going that route but I would like to see what happens taking that route. It helps that Mauer and Park can both pick it at First.

    I would like to see Plouffe non tendered after the season if nobody claims him on waivers in August. If somebody claims him, let him go for nothing. I would nontender Milone as well but try to resign him on a major league deal. If the Twins keep him via ARB he might be 6mil or more. Trade Santana Trade Ricky, eat some money if you have to. Trade Suzuki. Sign him back in the off season if it works for both sides. Trade Dozier. Bring up Polanco. Trade Grossman. Keep Nunez. He is cheap. He can hit and run. He doesn't field well but if you trade Grossman, Dozier and non tender/trade Plouffe you need a guy like Nunez on your roster. Besides he plays with passion, and he has FUN playing...something I don't believe a lot guys on this roster bring to the table

    I do not want to see the Twins tank. I want to see them trade/ release players that would allow Polanco, Shaggy, Melotonkis (sp?) Berries up and playing regularly by August 1. If that means that Dozier gets traded and Nunez stays I am good with that. I am also good if both get traded. When rosters expand I would like to see Wheeler, Murphy, Park and maybe Jake Reed up playing with the club. I really don't want to see them tank. Give the kids a chance and let the chips fall where they may. Some may think I am splitting hairs but I am not. I would rather cheer for the young guys to win then for aging veterens to lose.

    What does Palka need to do to get promoted to AAA? I would think the Twins would just promote him rather than signing Logan shaffer

    I'm sure Buxton would rather be with the big club, but even he has to appreciate how much fun winning really is.
