Rodney should stay the closer, he can tune up the bullpen car, maybe jazz it up with some cool decals. Time to get triple A guys some middle relief experience. My vote is Gonsalves should replace Belisle right away.

    hes caught 250 innings/29 games in Rochester, more than all of the other positions hes played combined - he may not be, but he might be a good enough catcher and hitter, and defensively flexible enough to stick - just give him a chance

    If Astudillo had caught any part over the weekend, I'd say Wilson might be a candidate. Agreed, Motter should be a candidate as well. Astudillo is one of the few position players with options.

    Can he be DFA'd while on the DL, or does he need to be activated first? Since it's concussion 7 day, he'd need to pass the test first, right?

    it could be that every GM including looked at Astudillo as AAA depth with no chance to succeed at MLB until one GM got desperate enough to give him a chance. I hope Astudillo really does get his chance and doesn’t go straight back to Rochester. It would be icing on the cake as LaBombo comped him to Brian Harper, if Astudillo were to run with it and go on to a quality MLB career. It’s a great story to latch onto during this s***-show of a season. Take your chance and run as fast as those short, chubby little legs will take you Willians!

    “All”? Rosario swings just the right amount. He could be a little bit pickier... If you walk, you don’t hit into a double play. Given enough ABs guys like Astudillo hIt into a ton of GIDP. It has been fun watching him and I hope he keeps getting chances. He might break the mold, and it’s awesome he’s out there to hit and field where ever he can. I love his hustle and attitude.

    I can’t imagine Falvey Designating Morrison, but it’s gotta be him or Wilson. Agreed, need two more arms, maybe 3. I’d think it would be Duffey and Curtis up, Belisle DFA, Rogers to AAA

    I wouldn’t have a problem with a high upside pitcher, but close to major league ready is my preference. There’s still health uncertainty with May and Pineda. Gonsalves and Littell could and probably should bolster the bullpen. Romero looks legit, but it’s real small sample. We had May and Santana pegged as depth this season, and may not see them in Twins uniforms this year. What ever can go wrong, will go wrong. If it doesn’t, you’ve got bullpen help or trade pieces.

    Twins are bad and Rochester is in shambles. They need AAA depth something awful, especially corner infield, and no such thing as too much pitching
