    Culpepper I can understand not calling up. He was just activated five days ago and has yet to play the field, D.H.ing in all of his game thus far. I really don't understand Gray over Jenkins or really anyone else. Gray wasn't even hitting that well in AAA. He was slashing .286/.333/.429 with 0 home runs and only 1 RBI in 14 at-bats.

    Call up anybody but Gray. We have Jenkins, Culpepper, Mendez, Gonzalez, and even Wallner all performing in AAA and we call up Tristian Gray? Why!!!!! Does not make sense at all.

    Ideal outcome is a Dobnak-Ryan pitching duel through 6 innings. After that the Twins light up the Royals bullpen to win 6-0 and then we acquire Dobnak to bolster the pitching staff.😀

    I think what people pass over with Tait is that he is only 19. Struggles are going to happen when you are playing at High-A as a 19 year old. He is 2 years younger than Lackey. He is probably 2 or 3 years away from debuting, but he is definitely still a high upside guy.

    Martin Perez (Braves) and Tyler Mahle (Giants) both start today.

    Randy Dobnak is projected to start Wednesday for Kansas City vs. the Twins. He will be matched up with Joe Ryan. That is definitely a fun matchup. Dobnak has pitched to a 1.42 ERA for the Royals in 19 innings this season.

    It is definitely an interesting package, but it isn't what I would look for with trading Jeffers. Doval has been inconsistent at best for the Yankees and Volpe definitely has high upside, but the Twins have Culpepper and Houston coming up at shortstop. I wouldn't be angry if the Twins got this and Volpe is intriguing, but I would look to getting some young controllable arms for Jeffers. Elmer Rodriguez or Carlos Lagrange would be ideal, and I would trade Jeffers straight up for Rodriguez at least and maybe Lagrange as well.

    He would definitely be okay there, but the Twins have so many outfield prospects coming up in AAA. Jenkins and Rodriguez are legit outfielders if they are ever healthy, but both Gonzalez and Mendez are not great defensively, so they would see games at DH. The logjam at outfield makes Larnach an almost must-trade.

    For those of us with nothing else to do, Jesus Luzardo and Cam Schlitter are dueling in Phily right now. Both pitchers have done 9 up 9 down through 3 innings.

    I won't be able to watch the game today, but it important for the Twins to jump on Lopez right away and not let off the gas. I know all game are technically equally important, but it is vital that the Twins can take care of business vs. Oakland and Kansas City heading into the trade deadline. I am not thriled with having Larnach and Clemens off today. I also would like to see the Twins give Roden some more consistent playing time so they can see what they have with him. If he doesn't work out, they can use the spot on Jenkins. Go Twins!

    Max Kepler has been playing pretty well for the D-Backs since coming back from his suspension. He has 12 RBIs in 17 games including a grand slam and a walk-off single.

    Red Sox finally lost!! Their win streak ends at 15 after a second game of the double header loss today to the orioles.

    Randy Dobnak hopes to slow down the Tigers tomorrow at 3:40. He has thrown 14 1/3 innings with the Royals to a 1.93 ERA. Always someone I can root for.
