At least Anderson pitched well today. -
I thought so at first too, but with basically a bullpen game tomorrow, Shelton need Ryan to try to eat some innnings.
-
Bad timing ahead of Ryan's start today vs. Cleveland, but the trade has been a huge win for the Twins. Nelson Cruz and Faucher's combined WAR with the Rays was -0.5. Joe Ryan with the Twins has been 14.0
-
We can't forget to look at the positives. How about Alex Jackson today! He dropped his ERA in half today from 27.00 to 13.50. The ironic thing is that the Guardians scored in every single inning except for the 9th when Jackson was pitching. In all seriousness, though, hopefully today was just one of those days for Joe Ryan and the Twins. Hopefully the Guardians used up all their offense tonight, and we can win some games in the rest of this series.

Best Bullpen in Baseball??
-
Per Matthew Leach: Twins have agreed to terms with number 3 overall pick Vahn Lackey. Let's get this guy to Fort Meyers or Cedar Rapids as fast as possible.

Not the best company

At least Cleveland is losing.
-
Plus, Kreidler is starting so it can't go wrong.
-
Hopefully this is just a blip for Taj and he can get back to pitching like he was before the All-Star break.

Walks will haunt

Baseball is the greatest game. I love seeing Bailey find a way to be effective even without velocity. Luke Keaschall seems to have turned a corner to be a decent baseball player. It is so nice to have Ryan Jeffers back. A win tomorrow and we are above .500 and have won 9 of 10 series. Go Twins!

Please extend him. Buck is the face of the franchise and he wants to stay here. Build a core around him.

Twins win. 5-3 final over Angels
-
Joe Ryan battled today. Didn't have his best stuff, but we will take 6 innings allowing 2 runs every single time.
-
They haven't been great, but they have scored 3 runs in 5 innings. They have also only struck out once so baffled is probably a bit strong.
-
getting swept by the Angels would be a tough pill to swallow for the Twins.
-
It might just be me, but the Twins hitting with RISP seems to be gettin worse in the last few days. We seem to be getting a lot of no out or one out doubles and then not scoring any runs off of them.
-
Wrong thread, but Lewis goes deep. 2-0 Twins!
-
Great pick. They did what they needed to and didn't try to get cute and save some money. Vahn Lackey is crazy athletic and I have heard a lot of J.T. Realumuto comps. Bonus is reported at 9.5 million. Joe Doyle said that he has Lackey sliding into his top 10 MLB prospects. I don't know if he will end up that high up in most rankings, but he is definitely a top 1 or 2 prospect in the Twins system. Go Twins!
-
Last catcher Twins drafted in the first round was Joe Mauer. Just saying.
-
I think you are likely right, but Joe Doyle has said that he has Lackey moving into his MLB top 10 prospects post draft.
