My guess is this won't be the only kind of power outage we see at Target Field this season. -
Is Kody Clemens so bad defensively that they have to put their backup catcher at First? Clemens was 77th percentile defensively last year, and definitely is a better offensive option

I wonder how many fans show up to the Twins home opener on Friday. The average is roughly 30,000 fans for MLB home openers. Over/Under for the Twins is probably around 18,000.

So basically the entire St. Paul Saints roster is either top prospects or AAAA guys. St. Paul should have a fun team this year and they might pull some attendance away from the Twins if the prospects are mashing.

Hopefully this won't be predictive of the Twins offense in games to come. It is nice to see Ryan have a good start, and Buck and Keaschall have good offensive games. The Twins will likely struggle with lefties such as Rogers this season with how lefty loaded our lineup is. Great to see Taylor Rogers back in a Twins uniform.

I don't know what keeps bringing me back every year, but no matter how bad the Twins are, I always come back with a renewed excitement to watch Twins baseball. It might be just plain stupidity, but watching the Twins play baseball never gets old. Go Twins!

Neither Kent nor Lawyerson were on my radar heading into the year, but they both earned their spots. Hopefully one of them can take a step forward and become a mid to high end reliever for the Twins. -
You has to account for possible growth mid-season.

I don't think it is ever a good idea to underestimate the Guardians because they always seem to finish above projections, but they definitely seem to have taken a step back this year. I am impressed by the lineup, but it is hard to be optimistic about a team that has a rotation with Allen, Cecconi, and Cantillo in it. The Royals and Tigers are easily the top two teams in the Central right now.
