  1. Another 1st pitch swing on a breaking pitch...jeez! a couple hits and it's a 5 run lead again.
  2. Justin don't swing at a 1st pitch curveball...
  3. I'm sure Ryan has this site bookmarked.
  4. Nothing Gardy and Anderson are worthless...DUH!
  5. Except for that little break from 2002 to 2010 where they won 6 div titles and played in an ALCS..yeah yeah i know your gonna say but wait they have'nt won a series since or a game in 3 tries..true but to imply they had zero sucess since '91' is wrong.
  6. I agree that Duensing should be in the pen but would'nt hate him a s a 5th starter. They have to bit the bullet and swallow Blackies remaining contract and get rid of him. I'd even take a rookie ball prospect for him and pay his full salary to some team to take him just so we get something. I agree about Baker( I'd take a chnace on him at a reduced rate) and Gibson but if Gibson pitches this yr and has no setbacks he can be in the rotaion coming out of ST next yr. Span and Liriano to a lesser extent will definitely be traded or at least offered. It's Ben's time and yes we need more consistency at 2B and hope Dozier continues to improve and that Plouffe isn't a mirage. Plus sign a FA #1 starter.
  7. Not sure if a Morneau trade will happen this yr..just not a market for him with injury and salary. Next trade dealine or maybe even this summer if he stays healthy and finishes strong but Twins will have to eat some salary to get it done and that's reasonable. Parmalee has to be a full time 1B by some point next season IMO.
  8. No stats needed it's true I pointed it out before but we'll take it.
  9. And I find it VERY hard to blame Gardy or most managers in baseball it's the one sport IMO that coaching really is not all that necessary. If you look around the league most managers manage the same way. Staters for 6 hopefully 7 innings..bullpen..closer. Not rocket science to write out a lineup card and every manager not just Gardy doesn't always have their A lineup every day whether it be days off, injuries etc.. of course there are teams like the Yanks that always have deep rosters but really they stand on the step and watch the games for the most part. Mngrs simply are not as involved as other sports. How many skippers have the Royals and Rockies and some other teams gone thru over the yrs?? and look where they are most every yr. managing is SO overrated..again JMHO!
  10. Yeah the offense absolutely disapeared on '06' they were superior to the A's. A CY, MVP and batting champ and you get swept by the Oakland freakin A's!!! UGHHH! and yes Hunters misplay turned the series. Was'nt that the inning after the back to back HR's by the M&M boys that tied the score??
  11. Yeah i judt think was kind of playing the room and poking fun at himself... you guys really think he would admit to all that in a public setting like that. I'm sure if we actually heard the soundbyte and the inflection or sarcasm in his voice most would have a different view, but again we all seem to take things so lterally and jump to baseless conclusions. Reminds me of rube chat and that's not a good thing.
  12. ??? explain! good thing your not.
  13. Absolutely! but why would the Skanks want Span??? would they use Grand strictly as DH?? and I guess they would drop him in the order and take adv of his power and more RBI opps then Span could bat leadoff but what do they have to offer?? Seems like they make out better in these trades then not.. I know gardner is hurt so that may be a concern if he's coming back.
  14. I like it' he's cheap and only for 2 yrs. It's fair for his production and IF he can stay healthy this will be one of the Twins best moves in a while. Plus it might actually increase his trade value say next yrs trade deadline if the Twins fall out of it again. Teams will be very interested in a good switch hitting multi position player for a very fair price with another yr left on his deal or we keep him and still make out...WIN WIN for us againif he's healthy.
  15. I would'nt hate a 2-3 yr deal, what's he making this yr...$10 mil. 2yr/$22 mil or 3/$30, they have about $20 mil or so coming off don't they?? If the Jays are really interested in Justin that's another $13 mil even if the Twins eat a 1/3rd of his salary for next yr that's still plenty of $$ fo a FA starter. It also allows Parm to actually play, I'm not saying i want to trade Morneau but it makes sense if your trying to rebuild your rotation and FA or trade will get it done not waiting for the young kids. Span is another $5 mil off the books if you can trade him.
  16. Oh i thought only the Twins med staff was incompetent and cause UCL injuries, maybe the D backs hired a former Twins trainer and it's his fault.
  17. It was actually 13 but if you go thru the boxscore it was 24....whatever!
  18. I go by individual LOB but team LOB was around 14...still way to many!
  19. Not often you leave 24 runners on and still win.
  20. I agree Doumit should've PH..you still have Mauer, unless Doumit can't catch cuz of injury??
  21. Butera is still only catching once a week outside of interleague...why not let him catch Liriano??
