  1. Hammertime!!!!...too bad there is no such thing as a 6 run HR!
  2. that's a little much don't ya think??
  3. BALLGAME!...Sox, K.C win...Tribe, Tigers lose!
  4. Arrggh! coulda put this one away with one swing
  5. looks like Revere has figured it out too!
  6. Plouffe has been a tad warm lately!
  7. Burnett's been solid this yr...but Duensing has had his 2nd bad outing in a row.
  8. yeah I don't like Doumit's bat out of the lineup but we need to get Frankie right and if it takes Butera's bat in the lineup once a week so be it. No use screwing up a good thing although it's only been two starts..it's been two GREAT starts so we'll see if he keeps it up.
  9. I would agree with this...Rochester would need another starter...makes sense.
  10. I don't see a fire sale...Span/ Capps and maybe Liriano are still the most likely to get moved. I think they try to extend Doumit before the deadline and if not then try to trade him. I think Willingham is here to stay and Justin too unless they get a offer to good to pass on but I don't see that with $13+ mil left on his contract and his injury concerns.
  11. 3 or 4 more wins in April/early May and we're right in this thing, 3 o4 wins does'nt sound like alot but it is in this division..Crazy but true!
  12. JoeCStrib #Twins vs. Dempster: Span 8, Revere 9, Mauer DH, Willingham 7, Morneau 3, Plouffe 5, Dozier 6, Butera 2, Carroll 4. (Liriano P) sorry just copied and pasted from Twiiter...according to several Twitter sources Gardy hinted today on his radio show that Hendriks will be called up to start on Saturday....had another great outing last night in Rochester.
  13. Disagree...let him play, he seems to be doing better at 3B...great play today. See what you have over a full season...make a decision this winter.
  14. That's the thing though, if it's only mop up duty what's the rush to bring someone up if Oliveros or Guerra or Guttierez or whomever is gonna be in the same role?? let them get innings in AAA, if there is an injury then I'd say yeah but right now it's Burnett, Burton, Duensing, Perk and Capps as your main guys, Manship and Swarzak are your long guys..does'nt leave alot of chances for the anybody else.
  15. That's terrible nobody out and a man on 3B...really! I know Dumit had a big hit earlier but that's his job to get Span home.
  16. SOB!!!!! we needed a FLY ball Lexi!
  17. Who replaces Casilla then???
  18. Uggggg! DOumit!
  19. Justin!!!!!!!!!
  20. You don't trade anybody for "anybody they can get"...that's what got them in trouble the last few yrs. I'd rather keep Doumit then trade him for a low level prospect.
  21. They won't trade Willingham nor should they...he a RH power hitter who is affordable and they won't trade Burton nor should they...he's cheap and effective. Capps, Span and maybe Morneau but I think they hang onto him until winter or next trade deadline depending on health. They need a backup catcher or maybe even a starter next yr, why not keep Doumit, he's versatile and can hit. Still have Duensing Burton and Perk as your late inning trio next yr. Can't trade everybody, they have to field a team next season unless a pkg of a few of these guys to a team this yr who is desperate to win(Rangers) then maybe but i don't see any great prospects coming back.
  22. Jeez Perk...really picked a bad spot to suck!
  23. I tend to agree on most of his articles but the thing that got me about this article in particular was that he criticized the Twins front office for making bad trades or at least not getting value in return...and yes he's right for the most part. Then he suggest we sell high which OK don't disagree with that either but then he goes onto say something like they should trade Liriano if he continues to go well but they should trade him if he does'nt???? Can't have it both ways Jim you want then to get value in return but trade players for the sake of trading them. IDK that's the way I read it.....anyway he's more or less a bore to read...never anything earth shattering.
