    Keep him unless your getting something more then a fringe prospect...we have enough of them. Revere has been much a much better hitter this yr and IF Span is traded he will be the CF bad arm or not and the leadoff hitter but you don't GIVE Span away!

    I just think it's a prelude to DL Mauer...I think they give him another day or two and if he still can't swing a bat then just retro him...what they'd do with Mauer's spot then i don't know. But I think you'll see Parm play 1B more and DH Morneau.

    I think it has more to do with Mauer and his situation... He can play 1B on the days Mauer would which is better the Plouffe or Doumit who can continue to catch. Also with another day off today we won't need a 5th starter for another week and we have Manship/Swarzak for the 5th spot, likely Manship.

    I'm not gonna count on Blackie cosistently...he did have 95 pitches thru 5 innings. If he can get his ERA down to 5.5 after his start I think we have to be happy.

    I would say this for the ML draft in general not just this yr but every yr...way more then the other major sports drafts because it takes so long to develop most of these guys.

    I won't be dissapointed if it's Giolito .. it's a risk but then again it's a UCL strain...it's not torn and there is'nt any plans for surgery...YET. Even if he does have surgery it's another yr of waiting. If they think this kid can be another Strasburg type then they won't mind waiting. They'd have to wait even longer for Buxton to develop so why would'nt they consider Gio. it's not like Appel or Gausman or Zimmer could'nt blow out ther UCL at any time. Every pick is a risk, especially the ML draft so let's everybody stop pretending we know so much about the guys and how upset we'll all be if they don't pick the guy they want.

    Just draft the best pitcher available...we need an impact player in 1-2 yrs not a OF prospect in 4 or 5.
