    I Have no problem with Slama either....Leave Hendriks in AAA for now. Either give DeVries a shot or just let Swarzak get a few starts until Hendriks is ready to come back up. My question still is IF Pavano gets skipped/pushed back on Thursday what happens??? Gardy said the spot start would come from "the clubhouse" I believe which to me means Swarzak/Liriano/Duensing. If that's the case just let Cisco take the ball for one start. He's only been in the pen two weeks so his stamina should not be a problem.

    I agree with Seth here....Hendriks needs more starts at Rochester, you can always recall him later in the summer. Much rather give Marquis spot to DeVries....If Pavano's next start is pushed back I think Swarzak gets the nod.

    Well at least this makes the decision a no brainer as if it was'nt before now. I gave him a pass the first couple starts...missing most of ST, his daughters accident but this is embarrassing. It's quite obvious he's finished as a starter, at least for us. I'm all for DeVries now if that's what it takes although Swarzak is an option as well.

    I have no problem with the pinch runner but would have saved Mauer.

    IMO today's start for Marqis may be his last if he's terrible again...if so i put Swarzak back into the rotation, leave Duening in the pen where he's had his success mostly. Burton started off strong but has tailed off. Gray is 3-0 with a low ERA but it may be an abberation. You have Liriano for long relief if needed. Like to see Slama back up here at some point and Guttierez to if he can perfect that 2nd pitch....not sure about Devries...his minor league numbers are nothing special.

    He wasa getting a day off this weekend anyway..why not a day game after night??? Plus Butera and Pavario work well together, not that big a deal. I doubt a day off will throw off any timing Joe found yesterday to any substantial degree. Oh and Drew with another 2 hits today.

    YES but he usually follows it with an 0-4. If we can get some consistency from him he'd be a valuable hitter cuz kid got power!

    Part of the game, we've done it a 100 times this yr. I'm not about to analyze how we scored 11 runs...not this season. Enjoy it cuz it probably won't last much longer.

    I'd say Vavra...this team just does'nt hit for any power...Now i don't have to see 200 HR's a yr that's not gonna happen but the last few games aside we don't even hit that many doubles. We lead the ML is ground balls so it's an approach thing it seems to me. Mauer should be a doubles machine and while he's had good yrs in that dept, and has had a myriad of injuries it seems to me that if he won't hit HR's which would be nice too then at least he should produce 5 or 6 dozen 2B a yr.
