Mrs. Baseball's Achievements

  1. One was a grounder. The other was a bullet.
  2. Lame duck Falvey and his lame a$$ manager can catch the last train to nowhere. Along with the Pohlads they might want to consider a witness protection program. Thank you. Back to throwing up now.
  3. For years pitching (lack thereof) has been the Twins lament. So let's deal 3 of them, none of whom are on expiring contracts. What? Unmentioned in the Falvey trade bio is the Mahle deal. How did that work out?
  4. Sell on Buxton? No-trade clause. It's been all over the news.
  5. I was the most optimistic cat in the kingdom until Lopez went down and the Twins refusal to admit that SWR doesn't throw enough strikes to warrant the opportunities he's being given. Certainly the SS needs to take charge, the manager needs to be told what a sac bunt is and someone should tell Vasquez that Duran can run his heater up to 102. Use it occasionally. But right now, sadly, they appear to be waiting for the light to change so they can take a left turn off a cliff. Starting to remind me of last September. A brewing mess and helpless to do anything about it.
  6. Just for fun I listened to the tail end of the A's broadcast last night and after being blitzed by Louie, Jax and Stewart they were almost weeping when Duran took the bump. But I've decided this article has to be satiric click bait. No serious baller would consider such a move.
  7. So the Twins finally have talent and depth in the pitching department and I visit this site for my daily dose of all things Twins and there are articles about trading Paddack (with Lopez on the shelf) and Duran, for heaven's sake. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't reading The Onion.
  8. Great performance by Paddack. He deserved better. This stat is probably kept somewhere but the Twins appear to lead the league in infield hits allowed. Take a breath and go get 3 in Sacramento.
  9. I see Correa. I see France. Erceg just filled his underpants. (2nd grade playground education, with a Masters in SA (smart ass).
  10. The Twins underpaid for France. And despite the events of yesterday Cleveland overpaid for Santana.
  11. To me this one has a completely different vibe (probably because it didn't include 7 games against the worst team ever.) Upsides? More reliable rotation depth, which is significant (if Ryan doesn't go down in 2024 they play in October) and a much deeper pen now that Louie has accepted his role and Coulombe is the lefty choice over Okert, who was always one pitch away from falling apart, and Caleb who was the little girl with the curl. Sands is no longer a question mark and while Alacala will ALWAYS make me nervous when he's you're 8th option that's a lockdown bullpen. Rose colored glasses say 94-68.
  12. Honestly I don't see much + in any of his pitches. He gets behind constantly and then it's chuck and duck. Right now I'd put Mathews, Festa and Morris ahead of him for the #5 spot. He had a couple of nice months in 2024, But the need to improve on the 4 items mentioned, and the challenge to do so, doesn't bode well for a promising future.
