    I am pretty sure most of the TD moderators have the authority to write get out of work notes. They are greatly respected by most of the employees in the area and have a fair amount of authority.

    I still have not completely been able to purge the cannibal joke from my mind.

    TC's Mom -- she was in the woods with her twin cubs when she confronted by trappers who made her choose which cub would remain with her free in the wild and which one would end up coming with them and have to live a life doing stupid pet trips while wearing a stupid grin. With great anguish and a Polish accent she told them to take TC. There is a plaque telling the story in the Legend's Club. Sad story.

    I think that was partially due to the fact we were in the 4th 90 loss season and people's minds went to some very dark and unlikely places. I am not sure it is safe to revisit some of those threads and their topics.

    Are people not concerned that Brian is going to read these posts and do a Ragnar and demand $20,000 per game? We don't want him to start to think he is indispensable and go for a bigger piece of the TD profits.

    Not sure I approve of fan voting for this - it is going to devolve into a popularity contest and people are going to ignore the merits and skills of the writer. Plus certain bloggers are going to have fan blocks will will flood the voting system. Plus are we supposed to ignore that some (or all) of the writers may have completed their work with some assistance from a banned substances (or does that actually work in their favor)? . That Yogi quote was perfect.

    It is nice to listen to someone well spoken and intelligent, esp;. if I have just spent three hours reading the game thread.

    When Gardy takes over for Detroit next year, and wins the 2016 World Series with the help of somehow acquired, Big Papi, Liriano, and come-back player of 2016 Mauer (who waived his no trade clause and in a new environment wins his fourth batting title and is a MVP finalist), will this board implode or explode? Do you have plans to syndicate your show nationally, or perhaps you will take over for Bert when he fully retires.? I kind of see you as the Howard Cosell of the 21st century.

    Chances are his descendants are predestined to be lazy and not train properly -- so in this case, the second wild card spot.

    I was kind of hoping this was an old post bumped from last fall.... This year for the most part worked out better than I thought it would, I am skeptical next year the positives would outweigh the negatives.

    That golf pic is not the most flattering, but I think that might have been the spring after the concussion.     The new off season routine might not have gotten the results that were desired, but people are making it sound like he went to the community center three times a week and participated in one of the classes. He sought out someone who is considered an expert nationally and tried to develop a program that would specifically address some of his baseball needs have some long term benefits. He also spent extra time with Bruno trying trying new things in the batting cage. The extra time might not have paid off, but I do think he is trying to make adjustments to age and whatever physical ailments he might be experiencing. Maybe he needs to change what he is doing in the off-season, but I have heard and read a lot more over the years that suggests he has a good work ethic vs. being lazy.

    It is now hard to imagine a world without the Twins Daily page, but it was not around in the 80's and 90's. Now you have thousands of fans that would rather follow the game on a TD game thread and are less likely to go to the ball park.

    I looked up people who were born on Sept. 20th to see if I could determine your true identity in the real world. I have it narrowed down that your real world identity is either Sophia Loren or George R.R. Martin. You have the worldliness of sophistication of Loren (and it clear English is your second language) but your writing has the focus and brevity of Martin's style.

    We can mock them when they have their debate in October - it can be in one of the World Series game threads. I wonder who we will be playing. That will be my last semi-political comment for the evening.

    This was the first game thread post I read tonight and I am going to take it as a sign not to read earlier posts see what led up to this.

    Torii will retire at the end of the 2018 season, so in 2019 Harper will take his place as the good club house guy and dance machine operator. The rest will work itself out.
