  1. I always hated the last verse of Puff the Magic Dragon.
  2. I always wanted to order these. Now I am feeling a little sickened and guilty that I bascially feed my fish frozen sea monkeys twice a week
  3. Some of the best posts I have ever read have been by this intelligent breed - and you can get them for cheap. http://cdn0.theawl.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/BestSeaMonkAdPic-e1309271648169.jpeg
  4. Saw it last weekend - the cast put on a good show.
  5. The amazing thing about the number of Brian's posts is that all but two or three of them have greatly contributed to the thread that they were posted. Almost every post has been of great substance and on-point. I think there were a couple of ones that missed the mark in June 2014, but other than that -- every post has been premium.
  6. College kids who need something to eat after bar closing time, esp.if there is no White Castle around.
  7. I suspect that you are neglecting the site because you are spending too much time in the AOL chat room ILUVSABERMETRICS, This was a dark day ... http://screenshots.en.sftcdn.net/en/scrn/39000/39464/netscape-navigator-10.jpg
  8. It has already started: (CNN) Reality TV star Josh Duggar is apologizing after being outed as one of the 32 million people who used the baseball website Twins Daily. Hackers stole customers' information from the website and released it to the public this week, exposing something Duggar tried to keep secret. "I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing baseball stats and takes on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife," Duggar said in a statement Thursday. He did not specifically address Twins Daily in his statement, which was issued in the wake of the hackers' data dump and later modified to omit the reference to pitchforks and regular forks. "I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust," Duggar said.
  9. I thought I had read somewhere that the neck was a big issue again as well. Sadly,I think for his long term health and well being he should probably retire. He seems to be one bump away from being one of those ex-athletes who will have difficulty doing normal tasks by the time he is 50.
  10. I admire your optimism - I wish I could be that confident the pen would hold that lead.
  11. When are the owners of this site going to acknowledge that this webpage has had a few bad seasons now and there is a need to shake up their moderator staff? Just because they had some good seasons a few years back and made some good moves, does that give them a life time job? I feel they are stuck in the past and still making decisions as if everyone's computer was using Windows 95 and they are too stubborn to try new ideas or platforms. I suppose even if they did get rid of the current moderators, with their country club mentality, they would just replace with with existing posters already in the system. In reality, as long as the fat cat owners continue to rake in the big bucks from the page's ads, they probably don't care whether they are putting out the best webpage they can or not. They are too busy counting their money.
  12. I remember hearing an interview - I think in 2012 - whatever year Twins were above 500 in May or June. Everyone had doubts about the roster going into the season, and Terry was asked if he was surprised. He was irritated that the roster he put together was even questioned and said something that they had done what they needed and felt they should be even better. He truly felt they had done enough while everyone else was doubtful. The Twins lost that day and by the middle of the week were below 500 and basically tanked the rest of the season. I don't think Terry is to blame for everything and has done some good things, but that was around the time when I started to think maybe it was time for a change. Instead I think as a reward they took the interim label off of his job title (although that might have been the year before).
  13. Somehow I think we would end up with Enos... http://www.dukefarm.co.uk/Season%203_files/image015.jpg
  14. He might as well join the rest of us.
  15. Chuck could be a member of our bullpen. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/000/265/246/Charlie20Brown20baseball_display_image.jpg?1277055729
  16. I know this is really petty - and I am assuming he is being heavily monitored, but I would love for him to get busted again. I am assuming he is not that stupid - but he probably is that arrogant.
  17. Wait - don't tell me - I think I know the answer to this one...
  18. I am going to listen to my special edition of God Bless America sung by Kate and Babe to calm my nerves. There voices really work well together as they bring it a patriotic fever - and they were kind of a hot couple. http://www.speedboatclassics.com/images/Kate__Babe.JPG
  19. Yes - but it will probably be on during pledge week and with all the pledge interruptions it will take longer to watch than last night's game. I did hear they are going to have Red Green be the narrator, and after the airing he is going to make a special announcement that Mauer will be taking over the role of his nephew on a relaunch of his show.
  20. and somehow he would work in the Olson Twins. Dahli Lama -- nibbler -- Olson Twins -- I think that would have been the picture that would end up shutting this site down.
  21. You say this into a mirror three times and Gardy appears with Punto and Rick Anderson.
  22. I don't think so -- there seems to be too much discussion about baseball and the actual game for this to be a game thread.
  23. For some reason that does not make me feel better.
  24. Gibson being a consistently good pitcher the beginning of the season was one of the things I was most excited about for the long term good of the team. Needless to say, I have not been as excited about his play as of late.
  25. Yogi was not only a great player, and awesome at stealing picnic baskets, he had a lot of insightful quotes. This board has taught me a lot.
