  1. Chief's jokes are at a different level and standard than other jokes because they are usually so new and fresh.
  2. No problem - with the way we have been scoring we will easily get some points in the 10th and someone from the bull pen will shut them down next inning.
  3. I am guessing Mauer might be one of the team leaders for OBP.
  4. Since we have not been able to have a dinner/dinnah since spring training -- they really need to hold it together for two innings, for my health and to prevent starvation if nothing else. I would be happy if Nolasco kept pitching like to day and prove my reservations and lack of faith in him be misguided. I will gladly be wrong if it means a few wins.
  5. One of my favorite Mike Redmond moments was when he hit a triple. I thought he was going pass out from exhaustion.
  6. He probably got help from the wind.
  7. I cannot really comment on this - because we did use our unattached garage much of the winter as a place to store food. Always worth a detour when my Mom started the Christmas baking.
  8. Plus they can skip the putting it in the freezer step - since it is Canada.
  9. No one elses eyes are bleeding from the image of RB's last statement before the lineup?
  10. When I read these numbers -- fun" is not the first word that comes to my mind.
  11. I think you should try and talk Punto out of retirement. It might not make the best team, but I think it would be good for generating posting activity on the game thread.
  12. I suspect that question is a large reason why we rarely took family trips that lasted more than an hour, which is maybe why I thought things like elevators and escalators were great entertainment.
  13. I was always excited to go to Duluth, because they had escalators. Virginia was closer, and they had elevators, but Duluth was the closest escalator. It was a simpler time.
  14. If you are going to manage tomorrow I would have thought they would have at least sprung for airline tickets - even coach. The Polhads really are cheap.
  15. Bert will pay you - he is good for it.
  16. I am assuming Hosken was able to tell him these games matter. Thanks Hosken!
  17. Doesn't Mollie have a phone ban two hours before the game? You need to get down there in person as fast as you can --- Twins fans world wide are counting on you.
  18. I believe her name is Eve. It was like paradise early on.
  19. I think most of us have today off, since Bert was able to have it made into a National Holiday.
  20. Last year's opener was close enough.
  21. He read Ruesse's Sano column.
  22. I am guessing his opponent is TwinsNorth. http://dailypicksandflicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Tetherball-Bear.jpg
  23. Damn - I missed the original post about predicting the first a home run - so as I read some of the later posts, I thought the game had started and at first thought they were actual home runs. Reading comprehension is not always my strong suit -- although that might not matter for game threads and might even be a blessing not to fully understand all of the posts.
  24. In today's world - you cannot do much without it being caught on someone's phone. The wild bears before their battle with twinsnorth. I have heard Terry Ryan is not happy about this. http://minnesota.twins.mlb.com/images/4/7/2/31157472/TC_Bear_IMAGE_zslvhwyz.jpg
  25. You and your life were the inspiration for Leo's role/performance in The Revenant weren't you?
