    I heard that is one of the next game promotions - you can get one with a twins logo and a picture of Terry Ryan on the side.

    Just think right now he could be telling his friends on how when he was at the Dells he met someone who he thinks was named RiverBrian or RiverBrain -- and how he learned everything you need to know about how to create an epic game thread and also the wonders of North Dakota.

    I see a big potential for a number of promotions for next year. It would not need to be players and could be expanded to include the managerial staff and the front office.

    I am speculating, so take this as a grain of salt, but I sometimes think Souhan finds the one opinion he wants and then makes it seem like it is more wide-spread in the club house than it actually is. I did read an article somewhere online that speculated he was being proactive due to all of the Mauer is robbing us criticism he has seen. That said, it was a nice response. It has to be tough, because he must be dealing with the fact that it is possible his career is over. He seems well rounded and has his priorities in order (family etc), where his life won't be over, but that is still a huge thing to process and it has to be overwhelming to deal with all of the thoughts and emotions.

    This make sense. The MLB probably thought offering a game with two teams who might potentially meet again in October for the ring would entice new subscribers.

    I would cut Dick some slack - they have to be drinking heavily by this point, or at least doing their best to watch as little of the game as possible.

    A lot of times it is hard to sense sarcasm on written comments on message boards. This is not one of those times.

    All we do is win now -- is this thread even necessary anymore? Do you think they will unveil any new food items at Target Field for the play-off games played there this fall?

    You are asking someone to come back when the team started playing better once he left? What is next - commenting on a no-hitter? (hypothetically speaking, if the Twins pitcher had a no-hitter in play.)

    When was the last time we had a young starting pitcher who showed promise move to the next level and be a consistent reliable pitcher? There have been a few names of young pitchers the last 2 to 3 years where we were excited to see what they could do, but none who really lived up to expectations - at least in regards to starting pitching.
