  1. Are you saying SSO is Squeaky Fromme, and the attempt to assassinate Ford was to impress Gorg?
  2. I heard the clip of him talking about the wounded 80 year old. He seemed very amused when he was telling the story. I think it is part of some old Howard Stearn interviews that have resurfaced. I wonder if those alleged Apprentice tapes will ever see the light of day.
  3. He said it tasted like chicken (dinner)
  4. Now he is tweeting about the AL election, who the person he endorsed went up by a lot after the endorsement. Fake news is not reporting that. He cannot let anything go, now matter how small it is. Not that I feel sorry for him, but despite his power and his supposed fortune, he seems like he is pretty miserable all of the time. He is always unhappy about something, and you never ever see him look truly happy. I don't think he gets enjoyment out of anything, except for maybe crushing someone who he perceives slighted him or at one of his ego rallies, and even that I think is a fleeting, empty moment.
  5. unbelievable.
  6. This is a real quote from his speech today. I thought that cannot be possible - even for him, and then heard the actual sound clip word for word. Pres. Trump on Puerto Rico disaster response: "This is an island, surrounded by water, big water, ocean water." He then went on to talk about the bad infrastructure and the existing debt and how they will need to figure out funding. “The government of Puerto Rico will have to work with us to determine how” rebuilding efforts will be funded and organized" He did mention he will make sure everyone is safe, but he sure seems to treat Puerto Rico differently than Texas and Florida. This wise poster's words of wisdom can probably not be said enough:
  7. This really is a year where I would not be upset to see it go to about 4 of 5 players. This is not very objective, but in some ways I would like to see Dozier or Mauer get it because I think this will be their last chance. I think by next season one of the youngsters will kick it up another notch and clearly be the MVP.
  8. Whether you should stand or not, it bothers me that Trump tries to come off so self-righteous in all of this. As if a number of things he have done have not been much more disrespectful to the country. Mocking a vet by saying real heroes don't get captured, recently physically mocking said vet (who now has terminal cancer) by imitating him not being able to lift up his arms (due to injuries as a POW); multiple medical deferments to avoid the draft while clearly physically active; criticizing a gold star family; not to mention CONSTANTLY lying to the American people about EVERYTHING. They way he stirs up his base feeding them what they want to hear reminds me of the Sinclair Lewis statement: "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross." I do think people should stand for the anthem, but I do think it is more disrespectful to the country and the flag for the President to try to use/abuse his position of authority to threaten people not to protest and march lock step with what he wants. Esp. since he probably does not give a damn about the flag and is only doing this to throw red meat to his base (at least initially, now he is probably just doubling down because he was challenged/criticized, and he can never be wrong on anything or even consider another view).
  9. It was interesting to hear him with Jack Morris earlier in the season, and have him react to someone who is not all puppies and unicorns when talking about the Twins. I cannot even remember what it was, but there was something Morris said that you could tell really bugged him, and he had a hard time letting it go.
  10. I heard he actually had a malt - with real whip cream. He passed out before he could eat the cherry.
  11. I think the answer is obvious of how they should celebrate is obvious: http://www.saintannparish.org/media/1/19/Chicken%20Dinner(1).jpg
  12. A little bit lower than the magic number this time last year.
  13. They should sign him now, he is going to be a lot more expensive in a couple of months when is the 2017 World Series MVP. [i agree with most - would wait to see if he stays on track next year and then try to come up with a two year deal].
  14. He finally takes a break from the NFL to acknowledge Puerto Rico - and this is what he tweets... I cannot even comprehend what an evil creature he is.
  15. That seems way too flashy for him.
  16. They are Episcopalian? He does not like any criticism, but he does always seem to really respond extra quickly if it is a person of color or if it is a woman.
  17. This is preaching to the choir -- but look at his twitter feed (or really don't). With all the disasters going on His tweets praising himself or denigrating someone else far out number his tweets regarding the disasters. Even when he does tweet about them, half of them are patting himself or his agencies on the back, and the others you feel are because someone told him - you should tweet this about Puerto Rico. I guess his aids told him not to get personal with Kim Jon Un right before the attack, but his ego and impulses are more important to him than a potential global crisis. As I was watching Tilerson being interviewed, I could not help but think - it is great at this time we have a Secretary of State whose main resume point is that he was CEO of Exxon and was maybe chosen because of his relationship with Putin and/or his willingness to dismantle the State Department (which is now short of staff that it could probably use now). Glad Trump has his priorities and speaks out against NFL players with more ease than he does white supremacy groups. (and can you imagine the swawking if Obama's secretaries were all using private jets to fly about one hour).
  18. I am pretty sure I did not at the end of April. Good thing he was not pulled earlier for the slow base-running.
  19. I think he will possibly get a little jump, because people will think he looked Presidential during the hurricanes and FEMA seemed to be more efficient. Although I read somewhere, Obama (and W after Katrina) were the ones who made changes to how we react to natural disasters. Plus, who knows how things will go long-term when the media buzz has died down. It does bug me when he takes credit for something that was actually done by a previous administration. At times mocking the predecessor (usually Obama) saying look what I got done that you did not, even though the predecessor was actually the one who did the work and set everything in place. He also seems to go off the rails anytime he gets any positive feedback. The media will comment -- he sounded more Presidential (they get fooled by Teleprompter Donald almost every time) and two days later he will have tweet storm or be Rally Donald.
  20. Sounds like that new Graham Cassidy health care bill that they are trying to sneak by with 90 seconds of debate and before the CBO can do a complete analysis might actually be worse than the previous ones, and has a chance of passing. It is sad that the thing they have spent almost all their energy on the last 8 years or so is removing health care and not bothering to come up with an alternative. They really don't care about people, they just want their victory against the former president at any cost. http://money.cnn.com/2017/09/18/news/economy/obamacare-repeal-graham-cassidy/index.html
  21. I don't know - I heard a lot of the posters on these threads are actually bots and not real people. Have you read some of the posts?
  22. I am still hoping he gets a hit or two in the second game of the ALDS regardless.
  23. I think he will get hit 2000 in the ALDS -- possibly game 2.
  24. So do you think if Obama had retweeted a mock video of him hitting a recent political opponent with a golf ball and knocking that person over, that the GOP would just chuckle about it and not be foaming at the mouth? Do you think Melania is explaining to Barron that showing a video of a woman being hit and knocked over - even if it is by his father - is nothing to emulate? She is against cyber-bullying after all. Also - retweeting tweets that basically show off how rich you are and pat you on the back for your charity donations -- does not exactly shout out class or dignity or presidential.
  25. Did you not read the rules above? P.J. Walters -- our pitching staff from 2011 to 2016 could have maybe used some tweaking..
