  1. You actually did a pretty good job with the training (this was not from Twins After Dark).
  2. [This is one image search I would not have done from my work computer.]
  3. Save that for the sister webpage - Twins Daily after Dark.
  4. I could get used to it relatively easily.
  5. I grew up near Virginia, MN (the big town where you did your school and Christmas shopping and it had two movie theaters open on weekdays in addition to the weekend - and they had stop lights and fast food). When I was little there used to be a annual Christmas special, "Yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus." I could not grasp that they were referring to a girl named Virginia and it was not about the town. Imagine my confusion later when I discovered there was an actual state called Virginia. In retrospect, I might not have had the best education.
  6. You know what would be cool is if you went on to his webpage and ordered one of those new official USA 45 baseball hats that he has been subtly plugging by wearing through this entire hurricane ordeal, even when he is pictured alone in a meeting room, so you could wear it when you go cheer him. They are only $40, and your money will go to his legal defense, I mean his 2020 campaign. You know he will be looking at crowd size where ever he speaks. http://2d0yaz2jiom3c6vy7e7e5svk.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/trumpdavidpencesitroom1-800x430.jpg
  7. Yep - thanks. I think he used to alternate Tim with Buster.
  8. Trump did not pardon Arpaio during the hurricane for political reasons - he did it for ratings: Trump says he pardoned Arpaio as Harvey hit Texas because "I assumed the ratings would be far higher than they would be normally." (via CBS). He really has no shame ...or soul. Also during this same press conference could not tell two blonde female Finnish reporters apart. Of course he could be a little preoccupied by the latest e-mails that came out about potential business dealings with a Moscow Trump Tower that occurred after the campaign started.
  9. I think this probably has a lot to do with it, but it would have been easy for them to slip a notch mentally after the trades and the losing streak, which in baseball is a lot, and not been able to eat those middle of the road teams to get back in the race. I remember wondering if they had seen 500 and above for the last time. I do think this team might have that something extra that helps them play above their abilities from time to time. I also think the younger players are starting to show their potential more consistently. You never know what is going to happen from year to year, but I think that bodes well for the future. I remember Dozier not being happy when the trades happened. I could see him getting people fired up. I noticed the one player Kintzler named when he was talking about people being mad and not happy was Mauer. I know some of his critics say he does not care, but I have never gotten that impression when I actually here one of his teammates comment about him. I haven't listened to Ruesse for awhile -- wasn't/isn't Ken one of his semi-regular guests? Whatever you think about Ruesse, he usually has good guests on to talk baseball.
  10. That is right - I was thinking something had happened previously, but could not remember the details. They are playing audio from Hillary's thoughts when Trump kept following her during one of the debates. I remember thinking it was creepy and unsettling that this man was running for President at the time, and would have sunk anyone else. Sadly, I had forgotten about it, because there has been so much almost every single day that I cannot keep track of it all. It is amazing how he manages to come up with new ways to hit a new low.
  11. He reread his initial Charlottesville statement -- saying there was nothing wrong with it, but failed to repeat the ad-lib "both sides", so he is bascically rewriting recent history - and again Charlottesville is all about his hurt feelings. He claimed CNN cut off his feed, when they did not (although maybe they should have), He insulted McCain who is currently going through treatment for a brain surgery - although he was too much of coward to mention him by name. Also went after Flake. Not necessarily a huge fan of Flake, but Trump tries to bully anyone who dates question him even if the person agrees with him 95% of the time. He wants total loyalty and subservience. He said there were not many protesters outside, when there were enough that the fine AZ police felt the need to gas them and shoot them with rubber bullet. He worked the crowd up regarding the media further emphasizing that the media (who was in the room with him) is their enemy and is further villifying any one who opposes or even criticizes him as violet extremists. He is stirring things up so future violence is almost a sure-thing. One reporter mentioned there was a little girl booing wearing a fourth grade press pass. It is also only a matter of time before someone in the media gets physically assaulted. And of course he is going to pardon the racist sheriff because he no longer can even pretend he is not a racist, evil, petty, arrogant, ignorant, vindictive, blight on the country.
  12. We can only hope he retires about three decades or more before he turns 95.
  13. The fact that a question like this is no longer necessarily completely made in jest or satire is kind of sad. I guessing he is probably joking in this picture, but if anyone is arrogant enough to think he retinas are bigly strong and can handle an eclipse it would be President he who should not be named. Because no one has better retinas than him.
  14. Close... http://stat.ameba.jp/user_images/20140315/15/pontenero/6f/72/j/o0500066012875872567.jpg?caw=800
  15. Chief is going to have to go to Mount Doom and throw his premature chicken dinner picutre into it to prevent game disaster. It should not be too much of a problem, since he and Sauron went to school together during the First Age.
  16. I am actually ok with the Lord of the Ring movies - its the Hobbit - a two hundred some page book that is stretched into three overly long movies that sent me over the edge. When you need to make up an elf-dwarf-elf love triangle to stretch the book into three movies, you probably should not make three movies... http://cdn.20m.es/img2/recortes/2013/10/31/144816-944-550.jpg
  17. Hmmm - I wonder if Diamondbacks Daily similar posters -- DiamondbackSouth who lives in the country just on the other side of the border, and someone how lives in the neighboring state who starts a lot of game threads and is either a creative genius or fell on his head as a child, an older poster who remembers when the Grand Canyon was a slight ditch when he was a child etc.
  18. There is some speculation that this might be a pretty messy break-up. With two such mature, above-board, people of moral character, that seems unlikely.
  19. American Experience had something on WWI earlier this year, and a big portion of the series was the spike of attacks against blacks when people were afraid they were going to expect too much on their return. These soldiers risked their lives and lived through hell in Europe and then were figuratively and literally spit on when they returned and worse case scenario lynched. Trump is tweeting in support of the statues today - no care or thought to how his words might further exacerbate the situation. I think the press conference was in a way a water shed moment for him, not that he was not bad before, but I think he is going to fully embrace his alt-right side. Sadly, so far he seems to be getting away with saying anything. There were some tisks tisks from Congress, but nothing of real consequence or teeth. I read an interesting comment that said getting rid of the statues is not erasing history, the statues themselves falsified history by glorifying the Confederate and making it something it never was. There was a nice and peaceful candle light vigil and Charllottesville last night. Trump did not comment on it, but I am sure he is carefully crafting a thoughtful response.
  20. He actually did lie about the winery -- they quickly disavowed any connection with him. He lies about things great and small. He is the text book of so many mental disorders. If you did not know he was real, you think he would be some hypothetical in some psychology exam. The mother did issue a tweet thanking Trump, but he most likely misrepresented as communication between the two of them. I guess she gave a beautiful eulogy today. Trump has probably already forgotten her name.
  21. Yes - look at the video ChiTown posted on the previous page - it is chilling. These were not "fine people". The horror of his appeasing the white supremacists and Nazis aside, he is narcissist he still had to praise himself even while discussing this by bragging how Heather Heyer's Mother thanked him for his statement. He actually made the death of her daughter about him. Throughout this whole domestic crisis he has be tweeting or retweeting tweets that praise him - usually by Fox New or by someone who is a known extreme right-winger. He has no empathy, he has no shame, and he has no soul.
  22. I am not sure what is more disturbing, that he is president and what he said today (and has dog whistled for a long time) or if you go look at the internet how many people thing what he said was great and these groups feeling validated and more emboldened. The fact that he got elected, with these traits largely on display during the campaign, is depressing.
  23. Well Gorka (another ringing endorsement of Trump's views) did say they wanted to make sure it was real and basically said we think it might be really the left behind it. They are all vile individually, but as a group - it is off the charts. His latest tweet is calling out someone who had just quit one of his councils. The reason Frazier quit was Trump's response to Charlottesville. Trump has not been more vocal in his anger about someone who criticized his weak response than he has been to the actual white supremacists. Donald J. Trump‏Verified account @realDonaldTrump 1h1 hour ago Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President's Manufacturing Council,he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!
