    I thought I heard a stat during this series that the Rays had the third best defense in the AL (by some standards/stats). The Twins were number 1.

    Falvey and Levine insist on it -- making the team read TD was one of their selling points when they interviewed.

    I think in general, last year was better than the other post-concussion seasons, but then I think he was hurt at the end (was it a hamstring) and instead of putting him on the DL he tried to play through it the last 6 weeks which tanked his stats. Molitor said in retrospect they should have DLed him in August. But yes, would be nice to see more results like this (being Mr. Obvious).

    I like when Joe has days like this over days when the main discussion is why did he not swing at the first pitch.

    If Jack starts talking about his birthday, you know there is some creepy supernatural possession happening.

    With pulling the ball a little more and bunting a little more - it does seem like he is trying to mix it up more to be a little more well-rounded of a hitter to deal with the defensive shifts.

    Listening to Willingham in the booth with Corey and Dan. I forgot how thick his accent was. Seems like a good guy. It sounds like he enjoyed his time in Minnesota (although I guess he is not going to say - you Dan - this town is a ^&%^hole -- I hated every minute of it.)

    That poster reminds me of the American Experience episodes they just had on WWI on PBS. Interesting parallels to the present day with how the German Americans were treated and Wilson trying to hammer down on any dissent. The African American soldiers also got not so nice welcomes when the returned from the front with the establishment a bit uneasy with their wanted equal treatment leading to a rise in racial violence. Sometimes it feels like one step forward two steps back and no one every really pays attention the history repeats itself warning.

    I think it helped if you were male and of a certain age to really appreciate the subtle nuances of the script, acting, and costuming.

    This is probably should be on fun with numbers - but this was an interesting tweet. I was wondering if it was my imagination that they were playing better this year - but it looks like they are. Phil Miller‏ @MillerStrib 3m3 minutes ago Twins finish off Orioles 14-7, win for 4th time in 5 games. Twins are now 12-5 on the road; on this date in 2016, they had 11 wins -- total.

    I know Mauer has gotten a lot of criticism, and much of it deserved, but his May has been a lot better than his April (which I guess there was no way to go than up). His numbers have been ticking upwards.

President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B.     Level headed, thoughtful, completely sane Sheriff David Clarke is joining Trump's administration as assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland, so it looks like Trump is righting the course to be more moderate. https://www.yahoo.com/news/controversial-milwaukee-sheriff-david-clarke-says-joining-trump-administration-201403577.html Apparently Clarke traveled to Moscow in 2015 as part of a National Rifle Association delegation, where he met with a deputy of President Vladimir Putin, so at least Trump is consistent in trying to make sure everyone has some sort of Russian tie.

    The Comey memo does not exactly restore my faith in the Orange one in regards of asking Comey to drop the Flynn investigation.. Source close to Comey confirms memo, citing Trump: "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go.”

    Word is that Israel is not exactly happy with this reveal. I wonder if a piece of McMaster's soul dies every time he has tried to justify and minimize this the last two days.

    I don't think Trump is all that big about exercising his brain either (although he does like to run off his mouth).     Wow - he is having a twitter rant that is amazing even for him. He is out of control and from the interviews it is amazing how unqualified he is for the job. I still don't think that is covered as much as it should be by the media- how little he prepares and studies the issues he is dealing with. The Comey tweet is a little chilling. Donald J.
