    Has a move of the team even been a subplot here? I haven't been following much regarding a potential sale of the Twins but just looking at a few items seem to make a move out of Minnesota unlikely. Target Field is ranked 4th by Ballpark Rankings (Target Field Review - Minnesota Twins - Ballpark Ratings), while Minneapolis-St. Paul is the 16th largest metro area by population in the U.S. (Metropolitan statistical area - Wikipedia). The farm system also seems attractive, at least from a location and facilities perspective.

    I still have Comcast/Xfinity because a member of my household won't let go of it. Having to pay to stream the Twins games outside of the disgustingly high fees I already pay to Xfinity makes me want to puke, almost to the point of telling MLB and the Twins to F-off. But I subscribed to stream "Twins.tv" for $99 anyway because I weirdly enjoy being abused by the Twins. If folks didn't know, Twins.tv is just a name for the coverage on the MLB.tv service, so you're really just subscribing to MLB.tv. Just to add what I understand because I'm sick of this (I've nearly had marriage ending arguments because I want to cancel Xfinity), Xfinity carries FanDuel but the Twins don't have an agreement with FanDuel. That ship has sailed so if you are waiting for that to happen, it won't. I saw the announcement about the Twins being carried on Xfinity channel 1261, but I can't believe that they would just include it as part of a basic channel offering or even as a part of the existing "Sports tier" that they make you pay extra for. It's probably something being offered so you easily watch by tuning into channel 1261 AFTER you've paid the extra $19.99/mo. to watch the Twins.

    I was going to subscribe to Twins.tv as anticipation for the new season creeps in, but after reading the quote about Lewis questioning his "movement pattern", I'm holding off. Seriously, he's talking about getting injured when slowing down. I'm not a doctor but I've noticed that NFL, NHL and NBA players start and stop a lot more aggressively than MLB players do, WHILE other players are hammering on them. It's almost like Lewis is expecting to be injured again and is setting us all up for it. Twins and injuries...Get to know 'em!

    I am a Xfinity customer out of necessity, not by choice. I can complain about Xfinity all I want, but the reality is that their internet service is the fastest and most reliable I can get in my area, which is important to me as an IT guy. Now, the problem of using their Cable TV service is due to my wife hating change, like losing her Xfinity DVR and having to learn how to use a streaming device. I have helped many people who can't operate something as simple as an Apple TV device without being overtaken by some sort of weird panic attack when they can't find "their show" in 5 seconds. And I'm not going to start with the miniscule number of people who have any concept of what an input is. 😩

    I hate the terms "cord cutting" or "cable cutting". In reality, you're dumping the Cable TV model. Everyone still needs to pay for Internet access (the "cord") from somewhere to be able to stream. Maybe you pay for Comcast's internet, T-Mobile, Midco...your connection to the Internet is not free. Many/Most metro residents can't switch non-Cellular Internet providers. It's not an option. Most have only one. You can switch to DirectTV but even they indirectly (pun intended) admit their satellite Internet speeds are so latency-crippled that their website points you to a service bundle with an AT&T Fiber internet connection that you can't get in MN, ND, SD, or Iowa, anyway. So, the only real option (leaving out VPN pirating or stealing your neighbor's wide-open Wi-Fi connection) is using your current internet access and ponying up $100-a-month for FuboTV. I'm personally not paying for that on top of the obscene amounts I already pay for Xfinity internet and Cable TV service (because my wife can't handle replacing her DVR and thinks that operating a streaming box is mind-blowingly difficult). This all really sucks because I pay for my Mom's MLB.TV subscription so she can watch the Twins live from friggin' Cheesebutter, Wisconsin and I have to wait hours after the game is finished to catch a replay, while trying to avoid seeing a final score. Why is this all so insane?!? Ultimately, I'm going to forget about the Twins and the daily habit of having the game as a companion. I'm happy for my mom, though.

    I have done a quick personal reassessment, trying to find positives. Right now, I've landed on: No longer having to hear Justin Morneau's ramblings. No longer having to hear Tim Laudner say "this Minnesota Twins baseball club" or "young man" fifty times per pre-game. Other than that, everything is awful.

    I've had a full MLB.TV subscription in the past because I wanted to watch the Twins minor league affiliates, but I was still blacked out from watching the Twins games live on the service. Then I found that I could only watch the minor league games live, there was no ability to watch them later (time shift). So, I cancelled because I still had Bally's and could at least watch the local nine. I'm technically inclined, but I don't want to tinker with a team that wants to make it hard for me to give them my money. I could subscribe and stream Fubo and cancel cable, but Xfinity will charge me more for straight-up Internet access because I would no longer be "bundling" services. It's not about the money for me personally, though. I should be able to watch my favorite team without jumping through hoops. The Twins will lose fan interest because people won't be able to follow them. Less people will go to the games to watch a faceless squad.

    Mercifully, I've only seen a game and a half so far this season. The strikeouts are out of control. They just stand there and take strike after strike. I get that you can't swing at every pitch but the Sano-like guesses at the plate are infuriating. But to say something positive Correa, Kiriloff, and Buxton have been solid.

    Woohoo!!! One day out of 162 and only one of our best players goes down to injury. By the middle of next week, we'll be able to start prepping for a salary dump at the trade deadline.

    This is so disappointing. He's not a part of the Twins' future. If he is ever able to play for more than a couple of weeks at a time, it'll be a nice surprise and that's all. I hope I'm wrong but there's going to be a hole in center to fill next season.

    Makes you wonder about our coaching staff and front office over the past few years when you see what a few recent Twins have been up to this season... MLB leaders in AVG: #1 - Luis Arraez (by 50 pts), #11 - Brent Rooker, #24 - Gio Urshela MLB leaders in OBP: #1 - Luis Arraez, #3 - LaMonte Wade, #4 - Brent Rooker MLB leaders in SLG: #1 - Brent Rooker, #24 - LaMonte Wade MLB leaders in OPS: #1 - Brent Rooker (by 40 pts), #7 - LaMonte Wade, #11 - Luis Arraez For the record, I was fine with the Arraez for Lopez trade. But right now, the numbers above really sting when you see the current Twins roster struggling to generate offense.

    Couldn't agree more. In the post game interview, I liked when Correa said something like "we've got some dog in us". I thought that was evident with him at the plate last night. That "dog" was also displayed by Varland after his rough first inning and in Lopez's last start when he gave up 3 and then slammed the door in Chicago's face. Best of all was on Thursday when the Twins were up 11-0. Joe Ryan gave up a solo HR and he just smirked and shrugged...kind of motioning like "lucky" or "big effing deal". I love to see that attitude and the Twins have it right now. And there's no question that when Buxton is in the lineup, it's just a different team. He gets on base and it's just chaos for the opposition.

    I'll assume Buxton is healthy because that's what the Twins are (and aren't) telling the fans. The difference he makes on the field is immense so saving him for later in the year makes no sense. Maybe the Front Office/Manager thinks they have a team that makes the postseason without him on the field at every possible moment. I don't see it that way, but I'm just a run-of-the-mill fan. I'd say April games are actually more important than those in September, unless you already consider yourself out of contention in April.

    I don't understand why a game on April 10th is less important than a game on September 30th? The lineup for yesterday's game seemed almost like a surrender. If the Twins miss winning the Central by one game, they can look back on yesterday's game as an opportunity wasted. If Buxton can play, he should play. Stop saving him for later. Every game matters.

    I appreciate the video updates and assume they give Mr. Bonnes more time to relay as much news to fans as possible without having to reserve time to hammer away on a keyboard. I prefer to read, especially when stats are relayed, but understand it's most valuable to use the "right tool for the job". Keep those video updates coming!

    And really, who can forget Alexi Casilla? When I think back to the legendary pairing with Tsuyoshi Nishioka in 2011...it's going to be tough to top that.

    It's encouraging to see the Twins make this kind of move. They're signing substantial players to substantial contracts now (Correa, Buxton) and not just one-year deals on backend starters or giving washed-up players a second chance on the cheap. They are figuring out a way to manage risk. It's not my money so it would be nice if they would spend it like the Yankees or the Dodgers, but that's not reality. It will be VERY disappointing if Correa or Buxton go down for extended periods due to injury, but at least I have the opportunity to watch talent like this play for my favorite team.

    I'm excited that Correa is back, I usually skew a little negative or cynical but think that this signing is great. Regarding Correa's preferring the Giants and Mets...why wouldn't he play for the team with the best offer? I know I would if in that situation and can't fault the guy for wanting the best deal he can get. I don't think it has anything to do with not wanting to play for the Twins.

    I guess I'd bring Balazovic into the rotation. That 5-point drop is large. It's worth a shot. What you really need is for Berrios and Bailey to get going. Buxton will likely start heating up, but offense isn't the issue.

    Rajai Davis, if he's only going to pinch run. If Kerrigan has significantly better contact numbers, his speed is close. Stealing rating will probably be rarely used.
