    Like quite a few, I was also uninspired by the hiring of Shelton. But, here’s the deal. The decision has been made and he’s now the manger of my favorite team. I wish him the very best! I support him 100%. And, I really hope that by next July we all will be saying what a good thing the manager change was.

    It feels like it’s been years since we had so many unknowns going into the offseason. Here are some of my questions. 1. How is the FO going to fix the bullpen? 2. Are they really going to trade Lopez and/or Ryan? If they do, it better be a slam dunk, overwhelming return. 3. What the heck are they going to do with all of the LH outfielders? Larnach, Wallner, Outman, Kiersey, Roden, ERod and Jenkins. Will one or both, Larnach/Wallner be gone next year? 4 Who will be our starting first baseman? 5. Who will be our two catchers? If nothing else, this offseason should be an entertaining one. I’m hoping for positive entertainment, but I’m concerned that it could be a frustrating one.

    In two games, Pareda has picked off two base runners. Impressive! Do Jeffers and/or Vasquez have two total for the year?

    I met Mickey’s parents at spring training. They were standing next to me watching Mickey in the batting cage. Very nice people who are so proud of their son. Fun conversation

    With our bullpen, it would be nice to add one, two…..or six runs here.

    Funny. I have closed caption on my tv, it’s really having a hard time keeping up with this guy talking.

    I would prefer Julien without a glove at DH, Clemens at first and Martin in left.

    My goodness. Why Varland? He could be our closer for the next few years and he’s still inexpensive.

    If this trade was for Jax, I would have been very happy. With Duran, I felt like we were holding a winning hand. I feel like we blinked and folded too soon. The one frustration I have is the FO committing to the trade yesterday. I wish they would have had the Phillies, Dodgers, Mariners, etc sleep on it and see if they would start getting a little panicky and overpay the closer we got to the deadline.

    It will be really interesting to see what the bullpen looks like Friday night. Unfortunately, there really aren’t any relievers at StP that are having a great season.

    Quick fyi. Paddock pitched six innings giving up three hits, one run and no walks in a Tiger win.

    Good for him! Really too bad Raya, Lewis and Morris haven’t had the kind of year we all were hoping for.. it would have been nice to see one of those guys up now.

    If they weren’t playing the infield in, it would have been an easy double play.

    Big kudos to Buxton, starting the ninth inning. Down 0-2 and then working a walk. I’m not sure Buxton of previous years would have been able to do that.

    This is the Buxton that I think most of us envisioned for the past 7-8 years. Stay healthy young man, stay healthy!

    Not to be a downer, but, FWIW, Jeffers struck out in the next at bat for the second out.

    Bride is leading a charmed baseball life. With Lewis out, he should be guaranteed a roster spot for at least a couple more weeks.

    Correction. Miranda is now in starting lineup and Kiersey is out.

    Great effort by Ryan. Unfortunate that once again offense couldn’t come through. On another note, Miranda is not in SP starting lineup. Lewis replacement?

    And, if I’m not mistaken, GG is only 21 years old. He just might be the real deal!
