  1. Much like the FO, I’ve been holding on to the fun and optimism of 2023. This series to start the 2nd half is my wake up call. This piece makes the most sense other than the Joe Ryan part. Parting with him is waving the white flag for 26-27. Ober is a huge ? for me and the young guys have been so erratic. Suddenly Pablo and Joe are the only rotation arms we can count on. Definitely sell the impending free agents, better to get something than nothing for them - Paddack, France, Bader, Coulombe, Castro, Vazquez. I say wait for the new ownership to make any deals for controllable guys (relievers are the exception) They will make their own decisions about who is in the FO and who they want to invest in or move.
  2. 20-30 in their last 50 games. They might get swept by the Rockies after winning three straight series. High highs and low lows. Such a frustrating club and have been this way since last August.
  3. Glad I sat this one out. Not much more to say. You guys have said it all. Terrible
  4. Not a big fan of these patches or any patches in any sport. Do we have any idea how much a patch like this costs the sponsor?
  5. If he is cooked, the Twins are cooked on this contract. Too many “ifs” on this roster to be very optimistic about the second half.
  6. I have a few shreds of optimism left even after last night’s performance in Colorado. I don’t trust the front office to trade any of the controllable assets, but we should be trying to get something for the upcoming free agents. I’d hate to see Coulombe, Bader, and Castro go.
  7. Ober didn’t look that great last night at Saint Paul and only threw 50 pitches. He needs at least one more start at AAA.
  8. PECOTA makes their chances look better but these guys haven’t been performing at their “expected” levels for almost a year now. They are 47-53 in their last 100 games which only includes the last three from 2024. The 8% chance on Baseball Reference seems more accurate. Not a good start with a dud in Colorado tonight.
  9. Walner, you just got in the game you didn’t need to swing at the first pitch.
  10. Last chance batters! Adams with a clean inning. He goes down for Zebby tomorrow?
  11. 2 innings left here batters. Time to redeem yourselves!
  12. Gleeman: Byron Buxton is 12-for-17 (.706) with two homers and five total extra-base hits in four games since returning from being hit on the hand by a 98 mph pitch. MLB leaders in OPS: 1.188 — Aaron Judge 1.008 — Cal Raleigh .985 — Shohei Ohtani .942 — Byron Buxton
  13. Bases loaded one out. We don’t have Bride to pitch anymore, maybe it will be Clemens?
  14. Paddack was terrible. The offense is worse 0 for 7 RISP with 7 LOB
  15. Paddack still has a lower era though. So that’s good.
  16. Cy Freeland so far. 3 Ks that inning. Unreal
  17. Paddack era back to better than Freeland? YES!!!
  18. Keaschall 1-5 with an rbi for the Saints.
  19. He’s probably exhausted trying to find things to say about this club.
  20. Correa special - 107 mph hit -3 launch angle, ground out.
