    Still haven’t gotten over that Miami series. Thanks offense! Hard to be optimistic, even with the nice series win against the Rays. I am bracing my fragile psyche for this week. Paul Skenes and 2 lefties this week. Cubs are third in OPS and 13th in era; Twins are 21st in both.

    Awesome to see Buxton playing this well and get to represent the Twins in the All-Star game in Atlanta. As for the rest, the Twins are a mid market team that is averaging 21st in offense and 21st in pitching over the last 162 games played. Hard for anyone to break out of that shadow.

    It’s like they have no plan or they have no idea how to execute the plan. Watching strikes come right down the middle and then flailing at other pitches out of the zone.

    This is who this team as currently constructed is. I don’t want it to be true but the past 162 games don’t leave much room for hope. From Gleeman: Twins are 74-88 in their last 162 games. During that time, spanning one full season, they rank 21st out of 30 teams in both runs scored and runs allowed while being outscored by 56 runs.

    They should trade and get something vs let him walk for nothing during the offseason. I’d take Selvidge, he’s at AA and we need some LHP. Hampton had TJ at the beginning of the season so I’m out on him.

    The ownership group and sale status makes this whole thing complicated. I do think we should be sellers, but I don’t think I trust this front office to do it. I’d rather have the new owners and new front office build the team they want. That being said, they should at least trade off the expiring contracts so that we can get something for them now instead of nothing in the off-season.
