  1. Gleeman: Twins' most homers since the start of last season: 56 — Byron Buxton 29 — Kody Clemens
  2. Bullpen has given up 16 runs in the last 12 innings. Still have to decide who gets us through the next two innings.
  3. Gleeman: Most games in Twins history with 8+ strikeouts and 0 walks: 14 — Johan Santana 12 — Joe Ryan
  4. Preferably sooner than later, but at some point, they need to start thinking about the future and move on from this group of post hype prospects.
  5. I thought the trend was tarps off, not tarps on?
  6. Leahy is probably good and all but they aren’t even making him work.

  8. I think his contract was written this way because he would hit 10 years of service and it wouldn’t matter. Players with at least 10 years of Major League service who have spent the past five consecutive seasons with the same team earn "10-and-5" rights. Under these circumstances, a player can veto any trade scenario that is proposed. In essence, 10-and-5 rights function as a full no-trade clause.
  9. I’m too lazy to look it up. Does anyone know if Gray or Kreidler have options left?
  10. Twins have scored 2 runs or less in 20 games (29% of games played) this season and are 1-19 in those games
  11. Outman claimed by the Tigers. He’s got no options so he’ll be on the MLB roster.
  12. Gleeman: Twins are now 65-97 in their last 162 games, which is the worst record in the American League. Most career homers allowed per nine innings in Twins history (minimum 150 innings): 1.88 — Dave Stevens 1.82 — Zebby Matthews 1.81 — Scott Aldred
  13. That’s the Twins at bat we like to see, first pitch ground out
  14. Gleeman: Twins have allowed 10+ runs in a game for the ninth time this season, tied for most in the American League. Only the Colorado Rockies, with 10, have done so more often across all of MLB.
