    Let’s hope that defense doesn’t show up again tonight. Bobby N: The Twins rank 29th among 30 teams in defensive runs saved (negative-27), according to Sports Info Solutions. StatCast grades the Twins’ defense at negative-11 runs prevented, sixth worst in MLB.

    This was a good pick up last year by the Twins. I don’t necessarily like his role, but he seems like a good personality to have around and his performance has been better than the post hype prospects.

    Doing the platoon thing with Kreidler, but I’d rather see the better defense at this point.

    Twins could do a little buying and selling at the deadline. Guardos, Rays, Brewers operate this way all the time. Trade some of the post hype prospects that aren’t going to be part of the future core and lean into some of the young guys that are. Don’t wanna go into 2027 not knowing if Roden, Jenkins, Erod, Gabby can play in the MLB.

    Watching Buxton play the game of baseball is a joy. I hope he continues to play well enough to activate some of the bonuses he has in his contract. He’s a bargain at $15 million a year.

    Joe has been great since the elbow scare. Trevor is boosting up that trade value. Bullpen keeping it interesting. Lawrence’s days have to be numbered. Great series overall. Go Twins!

    Seems like a little bit of a hierarchy is settling in for the bullpen. Gómez as the closer, Morris and Banda as the setup guys. Banda probably gets dealt at the deadline though.

    This from a Dan Hayes article updating some Twins injuries. According to Hayes, Jeffers, who landed on the IL with a broken left hamate bone on May 19, started taking dry swings last week and is participating in catching drills. There's still no timeline for his return.
