    Good article on gleeman.com about Ryan’s 2nd half woes: For his career, Joe Ryan has a 3.17 ERA in the first half and a 4.93 ERA in the second half for the largest post-break dropoff by any starter in Twins history.     12-20 against LH starters on the season. Including 0-4 since the all star break. Stacking the righties doesn’t work and our switch hitters are really only good from the left side. Zebby and the BP pitched a great game.

    If you keep Ryan, you’d have him and Bradley as a 1-2 punch in the wild card round. I like our chances there but ALDS would be a challenge at best. I think you need Jeffers to remain competitive. You’d also be trading him to the teams you are going to be competing with. It’s not my money, but I’d keep him and extend the QO. The big question then is how do you add to the bullpen without giving up too much prospect capital? Can the offense keep going without Larnach, Bell? That’s why Zoll makes the big bucks. I’m interested to see what he can do.
