  1. Vázquez can be a good mentor for Cartaya and Camargo. They’ll be battling in 2025 to determine who is backing up Jeffers in 2026 ⚾️
  2. Be nice to do more than sign Joe or a Joe-type but that is the state we’re in. Unless Zoll has a trick up his sleeve?
  3. Good stuff from Dan as always. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Like to see Eeles and McCusker get invites to ST. ⚾️
  5. Average innings pitched for a starter was 5.24 in 2024. That gives us 849 innings to cover with our SPs. We have used 8 SPs the last 2 seasons. Even with Paddack we are going to use - Lopez, Ryan, Ober, SWR, Paddack, Festa, Matthews, and at least 1 of Raya/Adams. Only Lopez and Ober pitched the full season. Dan Hayes mentioned they like the depth with Paddack and they weren’t comfortable with the pitching depth last season.
  6. Can we just set it aside for the trade deadline?
  7. Vázquez, Paddack, and Castro are worth more to us than other teams. No one out there worth spending FA $$ on. (In our price range) Time to let the kids play! ⚾️
  8. Health, young guys taking a step forward, new owners that want to win. That’s what we Twins fans have to look forward to/hope for at the moment. I do like this roster overall. I fear that 1B and RH corner bat will have to come from within.
  9. He’s played 250 innings at 1B in the MLB. He can platoon with Miranda there. That shores up the first base situation. We still need a right handed corner bat. Maybe we could give Jo Adell a change of scenery?
  10. Sign Kike and then trade him to the Dodgers at the deadline.
  11. I think Santana was an overpay and right now Grichuk is making zero dollars on his couch. Really don’t like Bader either, but was just throwing a right handed bat out there.
  12. Rays just gave Boras client, Ha-Seong Kim, a 2yr w/opt out contract. That’s the kind of “creativity” I’m talking about here.
  13. This idea isn’t very creative. 😥 Are we at the point where we give $5 million to Bader or Grichuk to be our right handed complementary bat?
  14. I feel like he found his role last year as a 1-2 inning middle relief or set up man. He struggled as a long reliever in 2023. Let’s let him get settled in the bullpen.
  15. Agreed - you leave Wallner’s name out of your mouth. 😁
  16. It just makes too much sense. We need a first baseman, he plays first base. He’s a polar bear, it’s cold in Minnesota. We need a right handed power bat, he’s got one of those too. ⚾️🐻‍❄️
  17. A boy can dream. Let’s make the team look good for the new owners. Get rid of Paddack and Vazquez. Sign Alonso and McCann and it’s close to payroll neutral.
  18. Pete to MN 🐻‍❄️; it just makes sense. One year with opt outs. Go ahead and use us to get a big contract in 2026.
  19. Pete is still out there. 🐻‍❄️ Give him a little Correa (2022) like deal. Make the team look more attractive for the new owners.
  20. Maybe we get some new owners and can make some moves at the trade deadline. For now we have to let the kids play. I like Kiersey as the main CF back up, but it is a good idea for Martin to get more reps out there.
