  1. Sorry, I can't accept the reasoning there. Julien is a great player and I'm excited we have him, but Luzardo easily has 3 times the value. Top of the rotation starters cost controlled for 3 years are like unicorns. It will (and should) hurt to acquire them. That doesn't mean it sets us back, like some have suggested, it means we leverage areas of strength (INF, OF depth and farm system) to completely set up our rotation for years to come. And, yes, maybe being friends with Lopez isn't all that meaningful. But being left handed certainly is.
  2. Again, not the takes I expected, but very interesting. I kinda feel like many of you are overvaluing prospects and selling JL's impact short. Regardless, if it is accurate that we could get him for much less, I sure hope we pull the trigger and get it done. A rotation headlined by him and Lopez should win the division and set you up well for the playoffs every year.
  3. Interesting feedback so far. I didn't expect so see much "too much to pay" sentiment. I don't know anything about the Marlin's farm system, so I purposely left the trade in favor of Miami. But I would expect the Twins to extract more value coming back. The price is definitely steep. But just think what you'd be getting: - top of the rotation starter - three years of arbitration control - throws left-handed - friends with our other top of the rotation starter
  4. No to the trade, or no I am not crazy?
  5. I think this looks pretty good. I know trade values are not necessary spot on, but I think the Marlins WOULD do this and the Twins SHOULD. Thoughts?
  6. No way, to small sample size. Need at least a month of each. Ok, now I feel greedy, lol.
  7. I will have EVERYTHING on the menu please.
  8. I mean, this was expected, right? We always beat the Yankees.
  9. Imagine all the awesome trade scenarios the folks over at Cubs Daily are coming up with.
  10. Yeah, there.is no BUT. I can find you a 7 number (games played in this case) sample size to prove almost anything in this world. I would bet my next paycheck that Correa ends the year with an OPS+ of 115 or better. Oh, and great/elite defense.
  11. OR. We hit just fine against the decent pitching we have seen. And gotten shut down by the elite pitching we have seen. Although those elite pitchers often do that because they are, you know, elite. This team has plenty of fire and energy. They love to play and they rave about the clubhouse. I am 88% sure the OP was facetious. If not, you get that hate out your heart, son.
  12. Agreed, I hope he is ok. Just the odd timing.
  13. If this were last year he'd be our 4th starter.
  14. Gallo hit that so hard it injured Cueto?
  15. Jeez Gallo, MVP much? Give someone else a chance to hit a HR.
  16. That's actually kinda nice. They can all get together after the loss for a party.
  17. Yeah, the one that is in my hand. Also apple fritters.
  18. Most recent sapmple size of 1 PA says Kepler is a FAR superior hitter than Arraez.
  19. 33% of the time... it works every time.
  20. First off, that looks delicious. Second, as long as said pastry gets rid of Kep's 0-fer season doughnut, I'm happy.
  21. Someone please get Kep a doughnut for his pregame meal. Twins 5 Marlins 2
  22. Twins 7 Royals 0 This has been an AI chatbot prediction. Just kidding.
