While it felt terrible at the time, I was fine with all of the trades with the common exception of Varland which inexplicably truly angered me. And I still don't like it. I loved the Bradley trade at the time and love it even more now. I take it from an A to an A+. Regarding Rocco, I don't care what he does for the rest of his career; he was a terrible manager with the Twins and seemed to get worse each season. His spreadsheet management was terrible.

Well, they didn't make the trade, so that's a good sign.

This is a solid bullpen. I think last night's game demonstrated who the bottom two are based on their low leverage use.

I pulled off Young from 17 and replaced him with CJ Culpepper. Speaking of Culpepper, with Kaelen called up today, I would pull him off and add back in Marco Raya.

I'm a bit curious why Emma is still rehabbing and not back with St. Paul. File this under wishful thinking, but perhaps he fills Jenkins slot after he get's called up today.

His hitting is encouraging. I also think that with experience, Royce can be an above average fielding first baseman. I would 100% stop playing him at 2nd base and only in rare situations at 3rd base. He is now the Twins 1st basemen unless the hitting stops.

This is an impressive list. Kaelen Culpepper was called up today so I would be nice to add a 21st player. That would get Marco Raya back on the list.

    Culpepper called up today.
  9. Jeff K
The Twins just called up Kaelen Culpepper. Hopefully Walker is next!

You've got to give to get. I like the trade. I suspect we lose Jeffers after the season, and maybe they could have gotten a haul from the Red Sox; but Rutchman has team control for another year.

I see you are working hard on garnering the most on thumbs down. You're a fun lad.

    Tait is heating up.

Was it necessary to show his smug mug?

Happy day in twins land. Twins amazing win. Solid trade and the debut of our drafted players!
  15. Jeff K
Solid1 pick up that cost the twins no ml prospects. I like it and hope for a couple more.

Glad to see Emma in a box score.

    And he plays centerfield

Welcome back Kaelen Culpepper. Hopefully he performs well the next couple of weeks and comes up in early August.

2nd or 3rd for Lackey as many have said. I think Houston should be 4 and Winokur should be a couple slots higher.
  20. Jeff K
Bring him up now. It looks like the Twins are waiting for a trade to open a slot for him, but they should get him up now.

Festa is officially gone off the radar...at least for me. Dang it.
  22. Jeff K
I was literally going to say that!
  23. Jeff K
    That is an excellent question.
  24. Jeff K
I fully respect that. i've seen him a few times in spring training and find him intriguing to watch.

And all moving from positions where they were less successful. So very encouraging and Shelton absolutely deserves a great deal of credit for making these moves.
