  1. Including double play grounders like last night. He's fun to watch but is a one tool player with that being the bat, without power. And he doesn't run well, when healthy. I am very intrigued how much he gets in free agency. The Twins are certainly not paying out much money for free agents.
  2. CJ Culpepper - I think you have just pitched your way onto the 40 man roster this winter. Pitchers like this are who teams draft in the Rule 5 draft.
  3. They do. But if you think they will be selected in the Rule 5 draft and want to keep them, they have to go on the 40 man this year anyway. I don't think Fedko would get selected (age). The other two I think would get picked. I agree with @chpettit19 on all of his post.
  4. None of these guys will make it to MLB. Holland probably has the best chance if someone chose him just for his speed but I don't think his speed is top notch (top 1%) for that alone to get him to MLB.
  5. Not sure why so many people want to get rid of Wallner. Sluggers have slumps but you have to live with some of that. We need more speed but don't get rid of all of our power.
  6. People complained about bullpen games and wanted starters up. We get Abel and Bradley and looks sometimes shorter and worse. Still, I agree with bringing them up, certainly Abel.
  7. No. Twins don't need to add him to the 40 man roster and plan to stockpile guys on there this winter IMo (get rid of the dead weight and add a lot of upper minors guys who need to get added and risk losing - also can trade guys like Larnach to someone who has too many 40 man roster guys). Next spring, if he's good enough, add Jenkins as there's often someone injured who goes on the 60 man IL.
  8. If the Twins (Falvey in charge) were willing to have Arraez skip AAA, they aren't going to force Jenkins to play AAA. They could decide to have him play AAA, but it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world if he started with the Twins in 2026. Plus, if the payroll decrease rumored is correct, it makes even more sense.
  9. Does CJ Culpepper have to be added to the 40 man this winter not to be left open to selection in the Rule 5 draft? Seems like he hasn't done enough to make it but someone that a team would take a flyer on with his potential. With all the dead weight on the 40 man roster, if he has to, I'm adding him if asked today.
  10. Certainly supports the people who are saying, 'the front office is tanking' for a higher draft pick chance.
  11. Most everyone was excited about McCusker earlier this year and now we hear crickets. I'm just very leery about a 1 year wonder (granted, it has been a really fantastic year) who has a 30% chase rate. I'm all for giving a Fedko a shot now through the end of the year. But, like McCusker, that's probably his only chance and could even be DFA'd this winter if he doesn't do well. Fair, no. Realistic, yes.
  12. Past history of coaches kids - they almost always have a good idea of the strike zone and what to not swing at. I'm really surprised Lee has this issue. It must be solved. Similar to Miranda, these two are not beating out many ground balls to the infielders.
  13. Keaschall because he's performing great with the Twins. I would think he would graduate soon. Then it's Culpepper but he must remain at SS (which I thought most were saying he could) to be in this position.
  14. I forgot that the Rockies and Nationals can't be in the lottery. The Braves and Orioles are playing well right now. I'm thinking we will end up at 3 or 4 and this series with the A's could determine that.
  15. 100% agree on Cardenas and your entire paragraph. It's either him or sign a cheap free agent this winter. Jeffers had better be ready to catch a lot next year.
  16. I would feel a lot better about 2026 with Varland as our closer.
  17. Remember it's a hitters league. Many of the players stats don't translate to MLB from there. With all the scoring in AAA, especially by Omaha, it makes Abel's performance yesterday all the more impressive.
  18. Oh it does, Genesis will always ends in a major Revelation.
  19. The Varland trade is what got fans truly irate. He's pitching great and Roden did terrible and is done for the season. This doesn't help Falvey.
  20. Genesis Cabrera called up. Roden to the 60 day IL, ending his season. Adams sent to St. Paul.
  21. How do you compare Fedko, Gonzalez, and Rosario? Am I correct in putting Gonzalez and Rosario in the same bucket - they can hit but defense isn't going to be good (though I'm seeing some posts that Gonzalez D is getting better - of course he's now struggling a little in his start with the Saints). Fedko is different right? Better defense and speed? But is he a one year wonder who can beat the label of "career minor leaguer?" Of course, Fedko turning 26 soon really doesn't help him. That and Gonzalez passing up Rosario, going from A ball to AAA while Rosario stays at AA, tells me Gonzalez is the guy the Twins think is most likely to be in MLB. With Jenkins arriving for sure by 2027 and Buxton still there, Rodriguez probably up if he's ever healthy, sure doesn't leave a lot of future room for these three. Things happen though.
