    The game today has been postponed. Probably a good thing, the way we've been going.

    We need Ryan to smoke Cleve today, and keep the ball in the yard. Gotta get a win somehow. It would be nice if we actually hit the ball and gave him some run support. Ober goes tomorrow, and after his last start, I'm not particularly optimistic for this one. Go Twins!

    Don't be surprised if Spencer Strider is next. He left the game yesterday with elbow "discomfort".

    I honestly think that he deserved a lot better than he got. Just my opinion. The guy was in the booth for 40 years, did a wonderful job, never got into any trouble or had any questionable incidents whatsoever, and a legit case could be made for him to be in the HOF as a broadcaster. I know he's in his late 60's and all good things come to an end, but I believe it could have been handled much better than it was. I wish him nothing but the best in his "retirement".

    He does, but he's got too much class to say anything derogatory. Did you notice, he said "eased" when he talked about leaving? Yeah, he was eased all right. He was eased to the door.

    They spent all the cash on those fantas...uh, grea...uh, goo...uh, borderline FA's we got. No money left for Bremer's home town.

    Still pretty windy today. Anything in the air could be interesting. At least it's not as bad as yesterday was. Dick Bremer is supposed to throw out the first pitch. I'm still getting used to Cory doing tv...it feels like I'm watching radio! DOH!

    It's way too early to panic. They were the exact same way thru a decent portion of last season too. Give them a little time to find the groove. If we're still doing this on August 1st, then I'd go low on the Defcon scale.

    Was kind of hoping that Royce wasn't going to go IL, but it's not a surprise. A short stint, heal up, and get back to raking in a couple weeks. Meanwhile, the other guys have to pick up the slack. Good luck to Martin.

    I've been following MLB since the early 1960's. I've been around the block more than a few times. Lewis has the most positive attitude, and best outlook, than any player I can recall. He's taken some real tough shots and come back before. He'll do that this time too. Hopefully, it's just a very short term injury and fast recovery. We need him in the lineup and he'll be back soon.
