I honestly think that he deserved a lot better than he got. Just my opinion. The guy was in the booth for 40 years, did a wonderful job, never got into any trouble or had any questionable incidents whatsoever, and a legit case could be made for him to be in the HOF as a broadcaster. I know he's in his late 60's and all good things come to an end, but I believe it could have been handled much better than it was. I wish him nothing but the best in his "retirement".
