    Reminds me of the old Flip Wilson joke. Here it is: Comedian Flip Wilson told a story about a preacher and his church. A preacher was trying to get his people to be more enthusiastic about their church. The preacher said in his sermon: "If this church is going to get anywhere, it has to learn to crawl." The people said, "Let it crawl, Rev., let it crawl" Then he said, "And after it learns to crawl, it has to learn to walk." And the people said, "Let it walk, Rev., let it walk" The preacher got excited and said, "After this church learns to walk, it has to learn to run" The people shouted back, "Let it run, Rev., let it run" Then he said, "And if this church is going to run, it’s going to take money" And the people said, "Let it crawl, Rev., let it crawl." Looks like we're doing some crawling tonight.

    After the Nats sweep us...do you think any changes will be made? My guess is no, but Falvey hasn't traded any prospects for pitchers who are two starts away from a TJ lately. It could be time.

    I agree. I had to listen to Atteberry for a couple innings tonight and couldn't take it anymore. Just terrible. He's got Perk with him tonight, who I like. Then, I get home to be treated to Smalley and Spannie. UGH!

    Just LOVE these guys swinging at pitches in the dirt...then taking one right down broadway for strike three!

    As others have stated...his velo is fine. His issues are due to his command, which is probably directly related to the oblique injury. The pitch selection is coming from the bench...either Rocco or Maki, and they not utilizing Duran's FB as much as it should be. Stop messing around with off speed stuff and throw gas. The guy is our best weapon out of the pen, and he's not being used correctly. If Duran was on a different team, he'd be lights out.

    Very nice performance from Paddack. One bad pitch in the 1st inning, and we're gonna lose this 2-1 because we're asleep at the plate.

    One fricken hit ain't gonna cut it. Bad, just plain bad, and Okert needs to be DFA'd.

    26 innings without scoring a run...is beyond pathetic. A solo shot by Jeffers in the 1st inning of the first game...and NADA! No doubt we have some kind of mental block against the effing Yankees, and it's been going on forever, but that three game lack of production was just putrid. Time to suck it up and put some runs on the board for a change! Maybe play a little defense too, and SWR better give us something to go along with that.
