    I'm not opposed to Larnach being traded, but I'd much rather dump Gallo and trade Kepler. Everyone knows Larnach struggles with off speed stuff, but there aren't many young(er) players that don't. He's been up and down many times, and I don't think he's really had enough time up here to develop. Maybe he never gets it...maybe he does. I'd take him over Gallo in a heartbeat. I'd give Larnach and Wallner shots at the two corners and move on from Kepler.

    I just read that Bob Nightengale from USA Today is saying that the Pads will trade Snell and Hader. Who knows what's going to happen? Anything is possible in the next 4-5 days.

    Spot on. They're not going to do much of anything. Certainly nothing significant. Maybe a couple minor deals.

    No idea what to make of this trade yet, but I wish Lopez the best. I hope he and his family are ok.

    Kind of a nothing-burger deal. They must have really wanted to get rid of Lopez. I hope that the FO has better trades on the burner than this one.

    Probably some posturing going on by Preller, but it's possible he's going to keep them. He'll likely get some real good offers for both of them. I'd love to see Snell or Hader here, but that's a pipe dream.

    100% agree. If there's any interest at all, it's Larnach and Wallner. I could maybe see some team having interest in Kepler based on what he's doing since the ASB. Gallo? He's about as close to poison as a player could possibly be. Below zero value, if there is such a thing. They'll have to make some kind of sweetheart deal with Boras to get rid of Gallo.

    Baloney. That's GM speak. "High bar"? All smoke-screen. Yeah, I'm sure teams are lining up for our left handed corner outfielders. I've got some ocean front property in Arizona I want to talk to you about too! If Falvey can find a taker for one of two of our stellar OF's...please feel free to make the deal. They have to do something with a couple of those guys. As for Gallo...one way or another, he HAS to go. DFA him or if they can find a team stupid enough to take him, DO IT!

    Sure teams are going to lose a game like this once in a while, but the fact remains...that was a game we SHOULD have won. Pablo pitched another very good game, and the pen blew it. Moran was brutal, Pagan was back to his old tricks, and Ortega had no business even being in that situation. Terrible. Just a bad loss...worst one of the season so far.

    Time for the Gallo experiment to end. Hopefully, he gets DFA'd or moved to another sucker team by Aug 1st.

    Kike back to LA. Very glad we didn't make a move to get him.

    I don't think there's any doubt that they're in a better position overall with personnel, than last season. It's not a starting lineup with a handful of minor leaguers, especially in the outfield. The pitching alone takes care of a lot of that too. It's significantly better than last year. If a few of the guys could remember how to hit a baseball, it certainly wouldn't hurt. With Polanco and Lewis coming back soon, that will help tremendously. I don't know what the FO has up their sleeves at the deadline, but a good righty bat would help...and maybe another BP arm, but we'll see what happens.

    Kirby smoked us last week, and Sea won 5-0. He had 10 k's. It was a "Lopez" game. Pablo Lopez pitched ok for 5 innings, and Jorge Lopez came in and gave up 3 runs in the 8th. We need to get to Kirby in this one. Gonna be a hot one at Target Field tonight. If you're going, make sure you hydrate. How about an easy win for a change? GO TWINS!

    I'd be surprised if the FO did much, if anything coming up to the deadline. Certainly, no major deals. Imo...Falvine are probably thinking that they can pretty much stand pat and not do much, because they expect the team to start to hit better, and maintain their pitching like they have been. They expect to win this division. Maybe not a good way for the FO to go about it, but that's what I believe they'll do.
