  1. Well I'm expecting a couple 50 HR seasons, and I don't think that's totally unrealistic. I think Sano's been fine this year after his slow start, especially considering he was trying to play in the outfield.
  2. Well that's disappointing. That might narrow the GM pool, and oh yeah, Molitor does not appear to be a very good manager, especially for a young team,
  3. He's got a 3.75 ERA with 9.2 K/9 and only 2.2 BB/9 between AA/AAA this year. It'd be a pretty cool story if he makes it to the MLB as a reliever/pinch runner.
  4. If it weren't for some awful defense, Gibson would have had 7 IP with 2 ER. He pitched a pretty good game, so I'm not sure what you're referencing.
  5. Sano has one of the best arms you'll see at third base. Let's give him some more time to evaluate him at third after he spent the entire season trying to learn the outfield.
  6. Jorge Polanco could be a candidate at third. I'd feel better about this if he actually got some experience over there.
  7. I think Neil Ramirez has shown that he's still terrible. Get J.T. Chargois some MLB experience in this lost season so he can be ready to contribute next year.
  8. And he's made some pretty dumb moves recently anyway. He's a way overrated GM.
  9. In their first year at High-A, Crawford had a 119 wRC+ compared to Gordon's 126 this year. Crawford is once again around the 120 range at AA and AAA this year. I get the 1 year age difference, but why is Crawford in the top 5 on most lists, with Gordon being somewhere around 50 or lower? Or maybe this is another Francisco Lindor type of player, where I look at their minor league numbers, and they're ok, but then they make it to the MLB and show why they were ranked in the top 5.
  10. Zunino has hit .193 in over 1000 ABs, and he's only hitting ok in the PCL this year. He was a top 20 prospect 4 years ago. Max Kepler was a top 30/40 prospect this year. There's no way that's an even trade.
  11. Kind of an interesting stat: The Marlins have 6 players with over 150 ABs batting over .300. Plus, they're about to get last year's batting champion back from suspension. They're a pretty fun team to watch, and despite the ownership, I'm rooting for them to make the playoffs this year
  12. Gordon has shown a better bat and higher slugging percentage than J.P. Crawford, who has been a top 5 prospect on most lists recently. I'm not sure if this is a good thing though in terms of how the two compare defensively. A red flag for me is the 10/18 on stolen bases. It would have been nice if he was somewhere close to Dee's speed and baserunning ability.
  13. I'm wondering about that too. He's at 5.6 K/9 as a 22 year old in High-A, with what's been described as a mid-90's fastball. That's pretty underwhelming, but just my prediction is that he stays on the 40 man due to upside and left-handedness.
  14. I'm not the biggest Kyle Gibson fan, but over his last 4 starts, he has a 3.65 ERA and 8.8 K/9. I'm looking forward to see if he can stay close to maintaining that for the rest of the year.
  15. Jermaine Palacios is finally getting it going. In his last 10 games, he's hitting .308. I think it should also be noted that Stuart Turner hit a 3 run HR yesterday, and he's hitting .353 over his last 10 games.
  16. I was about to ask if Michael Cederoth should be promoted, as his ERA and SO numbers are impressive, but then I looked at his full stat-line and he's at 7.1 BB/9 right now. Hopefully he gets that figured out because I know he's got a great arm.
  17. The Wolves have signed Jordan Hill to a 2 year $8M deal. I think he's a solid player, but that's a pretty crowded frontcourt. With Dieng and KAT probably starting, and then Belly, Aldrich, Hill, and maybe KG who should probably all be in the rotation.
  18. Rod Carew has one more batting title than Williams.
  19. On Buxton: Last 7 games: .348/.400/.609 (1.009). Sure it's a tiny sample, but it's something. On the ROY, I can definitely support Naquin, as he's been great, and so has Fulmer, but Kepler has been a little better than Mazara, but the lack of overall ABs will probably hurt Max.
  20. Adam Brett Walker might be another guy that falls off top 20 lists this offseason. If he is what he is, the 40% K rates with a .300 OBP and poor defense isn't going to get it done.
  21. Thanks, that was a necessary comment.
  22. Perez has a lot of mileage on his legs even though he's still pretty young.
  23. I wouldn't trade Buxton for anyone listed #41-50, not that I'm biased or anything.
  24. That's a good endorsement of Kepler, but I'm a little surprised with the low BA projection. He puts the ball in play, and he hit .322 in his breakout year at AA. I think .280 and above is more likely what he becomes.
  25. Another positive for Kepler is that he's hitting to the tune of an .802 OPS, and he's doing that despite a low .263 BABIP
