MLBpipeline says they may be their #1. Not much in terms of frontline pitching though, or top of the line (top 10 overall range) prospects, but great depth.
Grossman Mauer Kepler Dozier Suzuki Escobar Polanco- DH Santana- 3rd base Buxton That's new... Any time you can give development time in the field to Danny Santana instead of Jorge Polanco, you've got to do it (at least he's playing.) Also, another day off for Sano. smh.
Really? Have you seen Dozier try to make a throw to home on a relay? It's not very pretty, and almost every throw to first is a lob. I'm not saying he's a bad fielder, but his arm is not his strong point.
Yeah he's only leading the AL in stolen bases and hitting around .300. The Nunez bashing in regards to the All Star game is a little over the top in my opinion.
For me, the thinking is whenever a prospect starts a season in AA, there's a good chance that he plays in the MLB at some point that year, depending in their performance of course.
I guess mlb.com isn't quite ready to buy into the breakout season of Luis Arraez, as he wasn't in the top 30. I would assume this has mostly to do with his lack of defensive ability.
Also, 2016 first round pick, Blake Rutherford, got ranked at #64. I was hoping Alex Krilloff would make this top 100, and with continued success in E-town, he should make some offseason lists I would think.
Interesting picture they chose for Ben Rortvedt. I had to question myself wondering if he was a switch hitter, so I don't know why they went with that one. I'm glad they seem to like him, but #10 seems too high.
Theo Epstein said he and Chapman had a "heartfelt" conversation about off field expectations before the trade took place. Chapman tells the media he can't remember what the conversation was about. That looks real nice, and even more reason to root against the Cubs this year. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/aroldis-chapmans-first-meeting-with-the-chicago-media-did-not-go-well/
