  1. The Ricky Rubio trade rumors are making me question Tom Thibodeau's judgement. Hopefully they're nothing more than rumors.
  2. According to the FO, there was room for neither.
  3. A great MLB 10 game debut, along with a 2.54 ERA in 138 innings in AA/AAA makes a strong case that you deserve a chance to start. Even if you don't know if it will work long term, you've got to give him a chance.
  4. I would think he'd require a couple of the Twins top 10 prospects. That's a pretty steep price.
  5. Jose Berrios says hi.
  6. So you would have rather stuck Duffey in the pen to start the season? He had a 3.10 ERA with an 8.2 K/9 last year. He definitely deserved another shot as a starter.
  7. I'd be fine with taking a look at Jason Wheeler, but Logan Darnell and his 3.9 K/9 seems like a waste of a 40-man move.
  8. Playing time over who? If Buxton hits even a little bit, he's playing. Kepler is playing and Grossman is playing.
  9. Kepler, Buxton, and Grossman should be playing basically every day now.
  10. So Trevor Plouffe is going to be benched immediately when Sano comes back? Or is he going to be traded? I'm not very optimistic that either of those will happen anytime soon.
  11. Well he only started 2 of the 3. I highly doubt he'll continue seeing that much playing time.
  12. Maybe not 100 losses, but in 2014, Texas lost 95 games and Houston lost 92, and they both made the playoffs the following year.
  13. Sano should be back soon and taking up the DH spot. Rotating the 3 outfielders doesn't solve much because Buxton and Kepler should be playing every single game and Grossman has been the team's best hitter for a month.
  14. There's no way Arcia should be playing over Kepler, Buxton, and even Grossman right now. Miguel Sano is going to be coming back to take up the DH spot soon too. That is focusing on young players. And Danny Santana is going to be playing probably once, maybe twice, a week.
  15. I wanted to write off last year's AAA performance as just a lost year, but it's just been more of the same this year. Time to move on.
  16. If you count the Lynx, then Cleveland should have already been off the list with Ohio State football.
  17. It's pretty simple. Oswaldo Arcia is only good at one thing, and that's hitting. Arcia hasn't hit in 2 years. With that said, good luck to Oswaldo. I've always been a big fan of his.
  18. I was a huge Russell fan coming out of Ohio State last year, but with what went on this year, I'm not so sure I'd really want to root for him on the Wolves.
  19. LaMonte Wade is 3 for his last 35, an .086 average over his last 10 games. This bad streak has brought his BA all the way down to .280 on the season. I guess the bright side is an 8/5 BB/K ratio.
  20. Arcia has a career .303 OBP. Maybe the better move would have been to send Park down, but the Arcia DFA is not as bad of a move as it's being made out to be.
  21. Are we at a point where a 5.12 ERA isn't horrible? I suppose you could be looking at his 3.47 FIP, even though he had a 3.51 FIP last year, but a 6.75 ERA. I doubt Nolasco is in the rotation next year, unless he pitches well enough for the rest of the season to get his ERA down into the mid-4's.
  22. Okafor averaged 17 and 7 as a rookie last year, and that's without a pg like Rubio setting him up. The defense that you mentioned could be a problem, but you can't pass up on that talent, especially if it would only cost something centered around the 5th pick in a weak draft.
  23. I've been a big Arcia supporter and was hoping for a bounceback season, but he hasn't shown much improvement outside of an early hot streak. I'm not overly disappointed with this move.
  24. I'm pretty sure Abad has one more arbitration year left. Also, Chargois and Nick Burdi should definitely open the 2017 season with the Twins. Taylor Rogers has looked pretty good so far too and should probably be a part of next year's bullpen.
  25. I think it's ok to look at actual results sometimes instead of using FIP for every argument. A 1.21 ERA is pretty fantastic.
