I hope we see more of a 50/50 split in playing time between Garver and Castro going forward. It would be nice to not have an automatic out from that spot.
That's fair, but I think with Santana, most people realize this staff should give the Twins a chance to win each game. It would be nice if there were a couple more guys with the stuff that other teams would fear though, besides Berrios.
Well the Twins staff has the 5th highest walk rate in the MLB. Combine that with the 3rd highest staff BABIP and HR/FB rate and you've got pretty bad numbers at the moment. That should normalize I am hoping, especially the walks.
The Twins have the same amount of losses as the Dodgers and the Nationals already have 15 losses. This has been just awful to watch, but lets not overreact and say the season is over.
I feel like Wiggins has played with more effort defensively this year, but his offense has fallen off a cliff. I'd like a do-over on the Butler trade. Maybe the Bulls would go for a Wiggins / LaVine swap this offseason
Buxton's line for the game looked ok, but I think he had about 6 swings-and-misses in 7 swings. We don't need to see games like that from him and Sano.
Seth, I'm not sure if your prediction of Max Kepler leading the team in HRs and Odorizzi being the best starter meant two breakout seasons led to great results, or something went horribly horribly wrong.
Well they were 3rd when Jimmy went down, and this is a very thin team. The same thing happened with the Gophers. They had no depth and losing a couple of good players took them from top 25 to the worst team in a mediocre conference.
I'm willing to forgive a guy for "making a mistake," but I'm getting tired of these metaphorical kicks to the groin right before the season starts. C'mon man!
