    Remember, Buxton has an older brother who is still faster than him. He still has some years of elite speed in him. Not to compare him to Bolt, but that guy has been winning sprints into his 30s.

    I doubt they will outspend other teams for the likes of Lynn and Cobb, tho anything is possible. I do expects some reclamation projects, and I am fine with that. I think our new front office is crafty, and will continue to believe so until proven otherwise.

    All these threads about who to buy, and they all look like Salvation Army finds. Can't we just put some trust in the farm system? The 40 man is bursting at the seams. Give the best guys a chance - I haven't seen one compelling FA in all these threads.

    This team had had peaks and valleys forever. Better to get it out now, and peak in the playoffs. Considering the injuries they've had, it could be worse.

    I like the way the STrib stated it, that viewed with metrics, Dozier is only average, but he must have made an impression on the field in opposing dugouts.

    Agree totally with #2. Berrios is our impact starter, and there is a long line of pretty good looking guys to back him up.

    Hah, Mr. Beeker has a sense of humor. Seems like a smart young man, with a pretty cool name to boot.

    Get 'em ready. Buxton is a no brainer to us who watch him, probably the most amazing CF I've ever seen. Baseball likes to honor the usual suspects tho, and Mauer's treatment is pretty typical of how I expect this to go down.

    Pitch to a pitchers strengths as opposed to pitch to contact. Hmm, I'm in.

    I think the Twins have some nice young arms on the way. Besides Berrios, you have Gonsalves, Romero, Thorpe, maybe even Stewart. I've said it before, and will say it again - just throwing money around is a fool's errand. I think the owners feel the same way. I hope the new regime will be able to uncover the future Klubers and Arrietas on the cheap. They are out there.

    Are we certain that Berrios is not gonna be the guy moving forward? He certainly has the stuff and the make-up to be a top starter. His 23 year old season was quite successful as well.

    Getting Darvish just isn't gonna happen, and that isn't a bad thing. I wanna see Falvine put their magic to work and unearth some hidden gems. Hell, Santana was a rule 5 guy. Liriano part of a package deal for a vet. Cubs got Arrieta and Strop for Clevinger and Feldman. I know fans here are tired of the scrapheap approach, but I find that much more satisfying when it works than throwing giant wads of money around. That isn't in the Twins DNA.

    Glad they both got a taste this season as well. We'll have openings at catcher and pitcher next season.

    Riverbrian and Chief got it right. Watching BB go wild in the field are some of my favorite Twin moments, and I watched Bob Allison play. Generational excellence should never be second guessed. BB is still just 23. He'll learn in time not to kill himself. Hell, Tori's ran through an outfield wall in his youth

    I'm watching ace expensive starting pitching get ripped to shreds in this playoffs. Maybe putting the money in a good DH would be cheaper...better spent.
