    I tire of the "anything can happen" argument, I've heard it so many times over the last 15 years and yet all we have is a single playoff series win to show for it. I am all for pushing in the chips when the time comes (looking at you, 2019 and 2023), but adding on to a middling team that might push for one of the recently added extra wild card spots is not wise. Especially when the AL is historically bad, and we'd be in 4th place in two NL divisions. There's reason to be excited about the core of this team going forward, I think there is a legitimate chance this team could run away with the division next year if everything breaks right after we've seen plenty of players take steps forward in 2026. But a World Series run in 2026 isn't happening.

    It's good news for Ben Ross, who would get every rep at SS if Culpepper were to get promoted.

    I'm not one to say this often, but that was a bad loss.

    Miller is the type of guy I'm fine with trading... but unfortunately all he brought back was Margot.

    I get why the lefty would want to face Larnach, but the way he's hitting this year, he's the one to walk.

    Or they could do what the NFL does and call it a tie, which will make the teams' records stick out in the record books when looking back on past years.

    Cleveland is doing an equally bad job advancing runners...

    Nance has a lot to prove before being mentioned as part of a "legit" pen... Except for the fact that he has the team's only RBI, which is the only reason why we haven't lost yet?

    It's 3 BBs in that 8 inning stretch, not 6.

    Seeing how the Twins have another 4 years of control of him, we are probably 2 years away from any real trade talk involving him.

    Notably, Travis Adams has gone 8 scoreless innings in a row... I'm glad they haven't given up on the kid. He's the type of guy to gives chances to, not a DFA pickup. Also, I feel like Roden deserves some credit for putting the ball in play even if the opposing team flubbed it up, even though it counts against his batting average that's better than striking out.

    Well, it was fun while Kreidler was hitting over .700 OPS, but it was never going to last.

    Woo Suk Go has been optioned to AAA, the accompanying move has not been announced yet.

    Probably 3-4 innings from Paredes and 2-3 from Rojas would be my guess.

    Well then. That was a rancid first time through the order against a fairly mediocre Cleveland lineup.

    I don't mind moving a handful of these prospects whose value that I have many questions about - more specifically in my opinion Rodriguez and Tait. Just depends what the return is, this team should not be buying any rentals but if they can find the next Pablo Lopez / Sonny Gray / Kenta Maeda trade, then pull the trigger with one of these prospects. Flip a couple major league assets for something, whether that be a AAA failed starter and try to turn into a reliever or a lottery ticket. Moving Rojas doesn't make sense to me. The farm system has had a lot of pitching talent graduate and there are going to be fewer arms coming up for 2027-28, they need him whether it be as a starter or reliever.

    And just like that, Roden now has 4 career sac flies - the same amount Joey Gallo had in his entire 10 year career! I like wheeling that fun fact out whenever I can.

    Not to mention that Gray would probably really want to avoid burning his final option this year, he is a lot less valuable on a 40 man roster next year if he's out of options.

    He would have been traded for if he were pitching decent, he has a 1.5 WHIP with a terrible 6.1 BB/9 and 4.1 K/9. He hasn't pitched well since he was with us last year, since his Rangers stint went rather poor too.

    2 HRs from Clemens off two different LHPs... didn't see that coming.

    Sounds like Joey Bosa is retiring, or at least won't play in 2026. Tyreek had the Teddy Bridgewater dislocated knee and probably won't be healthy until 2027 and probably won't be the same player he was. Cornerback is such a volatile position, Lattimore and Diggs were terrible last year and it seems like really good CBs can fall off at age 28/29. A la Xavier Rhodes being a top 5 CB for 2 years and then by age 29 became a shell of his former self. Diggs, Allen, and Samuel can still be WR2s and will sign when they want to, there seems to be a tier of veteran player who is assumedly going to get a 1 year deal, so they wait it out and skip spring/summer practices. Speaking of old edge rushers, both Von Miller and Cameron Jordan had 9+ sacks in 2025 despite both being 36 years old. Jordan hit 10.5!

    Why on earth would the Yankees move Headrick while he's got an 1.55 ERA with the most innings pitched in their pen in the midst of a playoff run? All that for 2 months of Arraez? The Giants would be getting away with a crime with a return like that, not too dissimilar to the Nelson Cruz to the Rays trade.

    Last I heard: My expectation is that he'll sign somewhere to be a starting receiver in the next month, unless something comes out about one of his multiple civil cases. Knowing NFL teams, this isn't enough to blacklist him.
