  1. Adams did get to pitch 33 innings last year and was mostly terrible, and has looked like more of the same in a small sample size this year. But yeah, I wish they'd try to make the likes of Adams and Klein to be one inning relievers rather than waste time with the likes of Garcia.
  2. Feels like a repeat of 2024 where he couldn't hit anything, got demoted, came back in July and raked, just to stink it up in 2025 and be even worse to start 2026. This is his 5th year in the majors, at some point he is who he is. Maybe he gets hot when he returns, but if that just earns him more rope to be bad in 2027 it's pointless.
  3. Turns out the bullpen was a lot more effective than SWR. Perhaps SWR should have been pulled earlier...
  4. Reminds me of when they were carrying Matt Belisle in the back of the pen, late 30s with an ERA over 7. He was 38 then pitching in games in August-September on a 78-84 team.
  5. How much more negative value will they let Wallner continue to accumulate? He's one of the worst players in baseball offensively and defensively.
  6. Another start where Shelton needed to pull SWR sooner. He's got the whole bullpen healthy, he didn't have to let SWR go this far. I love that he lets the effective starters go long, but you can't use that same principle to bad starters.
  7. Buxton is gonna single-handedly keep us in this game... too bad he keeps on leading off innings.
  8. Thank the Marlins they didn't score more than 2 runs... only one batter got out.
  9. Looks like Aaron has received a lot of support:
  10. Looking at the 40 man roster, it is harder than you'd think to add an infielder to the 40 man with how many guys are hurt and sticking with an 8 man bullpen. You'd basically have to DFA Kreidler. Moving somebody like Laweryson or Abel to the 60 day IL would make sense.
  11. Kinda reminds me of the excitement around trading for Banda after the Dodgers DFA'd him... he was unironically called "elite" by some. Let's give Gomez a shot but it's way too early to have an article like this.
  12. It's because he has an option that can still be used. They already own him through 2030 (his age 33 season!), it's not about service time.
  13. I will say that I didn't realize just how bad Funderburk's peripherals were, 7.3 BBs/9 to 5.6 Ks/9 is atrocious. But still, a bullpen with Garcia and Banda throwing BP, he's still one of the better options.
  14. Lee has hit well, but has a poor arm and abysmal range... sounds to me like a 1B. We could sure use one, given they'll continue to trot out Clemens and sign the next bum free agent to a one year deal every season. And they're not training anybody worthwhile at AAA/AA to be the next 1B. Gonzalez has played a little 1B and Mendez didn't end up playing there outside of 2 AA games.
  15. Funderburk going down is certainly a choice... given he is easily in the top 3 best members of the bullpen. This could use up his final option.
  16. I'll consider us lucky if we get out of the 11th inning 2-2!
  17. I'm shocked this game is still going... and only 3 hits between both teams?! Geez!
  18. Bell's OPS threatens to fall under .600 OPS... that good stretch of hitting from him the first two weeks of the year is firmly in the rearview mirror now.
  19. It would be funny if they spent money to lobby instead of spending money to make the team better... but I wouldn't put it past the Pohlads!
  20. I would have expected him to land something around $15M a year, given what other receivers got paid around that much in recent free agent markets. He would be WR1 on a team like the Dolphins or Raiders, so it's curious to see him sign for so cheap. This is the first I've heard about the drama Levi is sharing.
  21. Post draft depth chart, with the new WR addition:
  22. It's a base $8M deal, which is very cheap for a receiver with the stats Jennings has put up the past two years. Add in that he's an elite run blocker, and he's a great fit as WR3. Ninja'd by Mike... seems like we are on the same wavelength!
